^^ You're welcome. Now we can all drool over the duos together.

I was at the counter today and I tried Genial and Laser on my lips and it is love! The shade is like how it looks on the models in the Haute Couture show. As I was applying it on my lips, Genial looked very bright and a little scary for me. But once it was done, I loved it and I felt comfortable wearing it. I will totally wear it, as long as I don't do dramatic eyes. Now I am resisting trying Super on my lips because I'm afraid I will love it too.

I also swatched the blushes and glossimers. Anyone has JC Poesie and Rose Petale? Are they very similar? I saw JC Candy too. Anyone has Constellation glossimer? It is placed in the brown category of the lippies and brown lippies don't work on me but the gloss looks sheer with multi coloured glitters.

Swatched Rouge Coco Legende, and it's very pretty! The counter also just launched the Hydramax+Active Nutrition cream for face and lip care. I didn't try the lip care on my lips but it is lightly scented and I love the texture!

Finally understood why some of you were raving about the lip care earlier on.

Oh no, I'm afraid of overspending at the counter this weekend. My list keeps expanding!

Rose Petale looks beautiful, but I tend to like bronze/coral/peachy colours in the summer.

Coconut, I have Imprevu and I love it. It is hot, like a smoldering, sexy blush!

I don't know about RB too.

Me too, it's the only one that really stands out. I think I may want that when the time comes!

It's been about 3.5 months since I got it and I have well over half the jar left. I am thinking it will last me about 8 months total (fairly liberal morning and night use). The Chanel products are expensive but they do seem to last a reasonably long time.

I hadn't heard of the Nutrition one until just now! I wonder what/if there's a difference. The consistency of hydramax + active cream is just so perfect (and smells amazing), I am afraid to venture outside of the box. Have you tried the gel cream?

In other news: would anyone enjoy extremely random Chanel swatches and stuff later?

I have both! They're not very similar - sorry.

Poesie is more of a peachy/warmer pink while Rose petale has more blue in it. Here are swatches. This pic was taken outside, Poesie on the left and Rose petale on the right:

I started out using the Active (which I really liked) but I LOVE the Nutritive!!! It smells amazing too. It absorbs right into the skin & is designed to continually moisturize. It is just a lovely cream. It never ever ever breaks my skin out. I highly recommend it

Word! I am convinced! I need to re-up on hydramax in the next couple of weeks... I'm excited to try the new one. Does it smell similar? Glad to see other folks sing its praises. May be the only skincare, aside from korean peel-off charcoal masks (the kind that rip your face off), that I'm completely satisfied with. And I'm a black widow when it comes to skincare -- no regard for monogamy.

Ah, Hydramax:

Hehe. Only here could I write a soliloquy for a moisturizer. (*dims monitor*)

Oh ladies, I'm so excited...I just got my stuff! I tried everything on and actually squealed out loud!

Mademoiselle is the perfect neutral everyday shade for me when I want my lips to be polished, but not the main event. It has more impact than a true nude and it's an ideal MLBB look for me.

Orchidee is great on my lips! When I put it on my whole face seemed to brighten up. It's a pretty coral-roseish shade on me, and I know I'll be wearing it quite a bit this summer.

The texture and feel of this lipstick is out of this world, I love it. So moisturizing but not at all slippery, great coverage without looking painted on...it's really fabulous. LOVE!
sigh.gif

Myriade is stunning (omg, this is where I squealed). The gorgeous sparkles and yummy pinky-cherry red base color, and the look on the lips...forget about it, love at first application. I'm dying to try this over every single red/pink-red lipstick I own.

Giggle isn't as exciting, but I can tell I'll be wearing this gloss multiple times every week. It's creamy with no sparkles, and is a pinky-brown neutral that will look dynamite with my typical smokey eye and toned down lips look.

The glossimers are fantastic and I can't believe it took me this long to try them. They feel great, look great, smell good and the packaging on both the glosses and the lipstick make me seriously happy inside.

I still love my MAC, but there's definitely a new sheriff in town...uh oh.

Ugh, I would love to get my hands on Poesie and Candy. I think those are Asia exclusives, though.

I was eyeing a ton of stuff on Nordie's site. It'll need to wait until next month, though, as I've already spent this month's budget, lol!

Yes, thanks so much for the link Miss QQ! Misty was the one that stood out to me, too. I also liked the taupe one.

Really?! It sounds perfect then! Definitely have to look at Imprevu next time I am at the counter. Thanks so much for the review! The swatch on the Chanel site must definitely not do it justice then...it's looks pure brown on the site!

Oooh...VERY tempting! Do you happen to have a swatch of Imprevu? Sounds perfect!

I'm not sure what the difference is. I would be scared to venture outside of the regular Hydramax, too. I have only tried the gel briefly at the counter. My skin is pretty dry, so I went with the cream version. And, yes, swatches are always appreciated!

Good to hear a review on it! Definitely will have to check this out when I am done my Hydramax jar. Does it have any added "nutrition" like antioxidants or anything? What is the difference in the name?

Ah, Hydramax:

The smell is almost identical. Maybe get a sample if you're not sure.

The green one is the Active - the new one is Nutritive.
The Nutritive is continual moisture to the skin. The skin absorbs it quickly.
Here is what Chanel says about it:

This unique addition to the HYDRAMAX + ACTIVE Collection of ultra-moisturizers addresses the special needs of dry skin. Powered by a custom ingredient, Ceritonia-PFA*, that goes to the source of skin’s hydration needs, this new, enriched formula combines the immediate nourishing and protective benefits of Shea Butter with the deeper continuous action of Rosemary liposomes. The natural synthesis of lipids is boosted from within and the skin’s natural defenses against dehydration are strengthened. Intensely moisturized and protected, the skin is softer, more supple and soothed, and can delight in a newfound, long-lasting feeling of comfort.

I just hopped on to the Chanel bandwagon!
I purchased my first product from the brand today, the Mat Lumiere foundation! I have high hopes for this foundation, what are your opinions on it if you've tried it? What are the best ways to wear it? What primer and powder work best with it?

I can try swatching tomorrow when the light is better. I don't know how good my swatches will turn out but I'll try.

Elegant, is the texture of the Hydramax+Active Nutrition nourishing cream the same or richer/lighter than the Hydramax+Active cream? I have tried Hydramax+Active cream and felt it a little too thick so I use the Gel cream. I'm into my second jar and it is finishing. Love the scent and texture!
