Oh boy :p This is where trying too hard to be artsy clashes with real life. It's fine for runway, but it doesn't project beautiful at all. Isn't the whole purpose to make me want to go buy everything...:zombie::marchmellow:& this does not.

omg you gotta go read the comments on chanel.beauty last two posts on ig

I read the comments on this and two other "edgy" Chanel posts. As you say, they are getting some powerful feedback, mostly negative. While I've enjoyed a number of Pica's creations, and felt that she introduced some things that expanded what I would have expected from Chanel-- my favorite being the Neapolitis palette and some of the eyeliners, neither designers nor brands are universal in their color preferences, and Pica clearly likes deep blues and greens -- and bright reds. Neapolitis was literally my first Chanel eye palette because for years so many of their palettes ran warm. The current new palettes kind of repeat her older creations. Although I really like the look of the upcoming fall palettes-- that cool neutral one, though I am sure, boring for many, will be a staple for me, I wonder if Pica is running out of ideas. Or maybe they are trying for a younger edgier audience, maybe not that great a strategy because Chanel is really about classic and quality. To me, Lisa Eldridge kind of personifies Chanel. Though I have not been that interested in Lancome, or her creations for them, I wonder what she would do with Chanel. Depending on contractual obligations, I feel that would be the right move for everyone. I also feel that Chanel, instead of going edgy, could go towards healthier ingredients, as Lisa is doing in her own posts on her personal page. I could not use the new Chanel body oil, for example, because alcohol is so high up on the ingredient list. An upgrade along those lines would appeal more than edgy.

NO WORDS. When I think of Chanel I think of classic, tasteful and elegant. WTH is that pic and why is this woman still in charge?

I ordered the blush which should be here tomorrow. I'm pretty sure I want the es quad, but would like to see swatches first.

Just got my blush & tried it on. :cloud9::cloud9::cloud9: It's a very, very pretty sweet ballet pale warm rose pink. I really love it on. The case at least on this blush has changed to a matte black. Not sure I like this one over the usual case.

I think the matte case is just for this matte collection. It is a really pretty JC!
