General Question

After you put in your application at whatever makeup counter/store you wanted...

How long did you wait to call?
And what did you say?

I put my app in on Wednesday, and I figured calling Monday would be appropriate. Do I just ask for the store director and tell him i'm following up? Would a manager do just as well?

I've never put in an application, but I have worked in Human Resources for companies. I think you should call no earlier than a week later. I'd also think that a manager would be fine.

I wasn't a manager (It was for a factory that employed several hundred people), but I always knew who they were serious about and who they were just humoring.

The girl said that she would give the director my name and tell him that I followed up.

Unsure of what to do now. :\
