And yes Uni is University, i always try to refrain from saying Uni around US sites because i've never heard any american people use the terms so figured they don't know what it means.
Incidently what do you guys mean when you say school, college etc? Cos i'm sure what you mean by those terms is very different to what we mean in UK because i've seen some older people talking about going to school and over here school ends at 16 or 18 (although officially if you're still there after 16 then you're in the 6th form centre of the school). And do you guys mean University when you say college?
