Zoomed into the picture I posted earlier of the display, only to see so many crushed/broken pearls  does this happen easily with the meteorites?

...I'm super extra with the animated faces and arrows...i was all in my feelings when I first saw the close up.
I like your graphic reaction! Haha The truth is that there are always crushed balls inside! Rainbow Meteorites was a big example of that incident! Many of them have been transformed into green dust inside the package! Unfortunately this is the case most of the times but I personally never stop hoping that mine will be intact until I open the can .

...you have just convinced me to get a BU of one I'll never use! Now I can "justify" the second one to my hubby! too bad about them breaking up so easily..was it like that prior to the formula change?

Does anyone know the volume of the perles container? I know it says 1 oz. but I don't know how big that is because I can't guess how much they weigh... I'm trying to find the pretty gold box I'm going to transfer them to, I'm thinking something like this:  Unless I want it to be portable. But I think I'd rather have my fancy stars be a thing that stays on my vanity than something I carry around in my makeup bag. It would just make me so happy to open a beautiful vintage gold tin and find shiny makeup stars inside.
this Tin is so pretty

The display :eyelove:
The balls are pretty but look at that clear plastic container
I don't know about wherever you people are, but here the regular display for the regular meteorites does look nothing like the actual packaging. In the display are clear plastic bulb-containers, containing the tester pearls. ETA: example I found of the blush ballz: http://cdn.specktra.net/3/3e/500x500px-LL-3e1c7b54_10895155_631720366934567_120245673_n-1.jpeg another example: http://karlasugar.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Guerlain-Holiday-display.jpg Also, I don't understand the fascination with the smell. When I received my Rainbow pearls, and I opened them, I could only think of the violettes candy. I don't like too much smelling like candy...

I'm familiar with the above pictured kind of presentation for the pearls, or the wall displays that have them in little cubbies. The photo that I originally posted was the first time that I've seen them displayed in a plastic jar...I've never seen them housed in their original tin for counter presentation...I live in both the states and in Mexico, and I've never seen the plastic jar. But that has just been my experience :)

Do you mean the Voyage palette or the regular pressed meteorites? Because that voyage palette is freaking expensive! I would be less inclined to travel with that and risk losing it than I would my balls!!! I'm assuming you mean the regular pressed ones lol.
No I didn't meant the regular pressed ones. I wouldn't suggest anything pricey untill I know for sure that someone is willing to spend a lot.
I meant: http://www.guerlain.com/int/en-int/makeup/face/powders/meteorites-travel-touch-voyage-powder and they are priced the same as the normal ballz.

Someone else mentioned this candy too, relative to the scent of the perles!! I happen to like the scent. Different strokes I suppose.

I like the scent too, I just packed up my balls and made sure to give them a good sniff before sealing them up in a box. :haha:

this Tin is so pretty
Right?! And it's only $25, on Etsy. It makes sense, I so see many pretty little jewelry boxes and things at like Pottery barn and such, and we all end up with a pile of them over the years so they end up sold on Etsy. There are like thousands of vintage ones out there to buy. I have three little ones I bought in China this summer that I don't want to use for this because they have extensions that might make them tipsy (one has a branch with birds on it and the other is like a little vanity that opens but because it has a mirror like a real vanity it's top-heavy, the third is probably too small). I bought a REALLY pretty vintage Stratton compact there a couple weeks ago. I suppose I could make an adventure out of it and actually hit some flea markets, but I like the selection on Etsy, because it's from all over the world :) I'm still leaning towards gold because the balls lean gold, but they could look good in a porcelain one with flowers on it... or even an antique brass... I'm still not sure whether to get the Meteorites brush to go with them. If I do, then maybe I should go porcelain with pink flowers to match... but gold would just look so special... They should just sell the perles in collectible containers to begin with! A little keepsake for after they're used up.

I'm always trawling Etsy for Strattons. Some are so beautiful.
