Every brand releases lippies that look familiar-----and still we get excited about them.I thought I only cared about the balls and rouge g until the 'gloss' was actually a matte lipstick. I must try for curiosity if nothing else. The colors of the rouge g and velvet matte do look pretty similar, though.
ETA: just read back a few more pages, didn't realize the pink one was a liquid lipstick. I ordered so fast that I just assumed it was a lipgloss as well. Excited to try it!
I was able to get the balls for under $20 using a 10% off code, the $50 credit from the epic rewards, and Mr.Rebates!
That is awesome!!! I never get the 10% off when i play those Sephora games, not once since they started doing them, which i think was just a half assed apology for no longer extending their friends and family discount to customers. Hah. I really really wish the Guerlain stuff would go up on Nordstrom or Bloomingdales, i have a birthday thing from Bloomie's if you spend $100 you get a $25 gift note.ompom: SCORE!!!!! Way to go Jay. I got the palette from Sephora for $35!!! I had a long forgotten store credit and 10% off from the Sephora Beauty Shake up game.:happydance:
Great haul! Please tell us your opinion of the liquid lipstick. (When you have a chance...) I'm trying to decide if I should hunt it down...I also got the palette, Polish and 2 glosses and a perfume. So poor. At least I was able to use my gift card and I earned another.![]()
Thanks. I think the collection will release at other stores-----definitely Nordies, but they've been late with everything it seems. Fingers crossed that it goes to Bloomies. That is awesome!!! Oh I agree, but there's something about buying nearly the same color from the same brand in the same release. Hopefully, they're different enough because I think I want them both. I'm curious about formula more than anything for the velvet matte. Every brand releases lippies that look familiar-----and still we get excited about them.:haha: I mean how many ways can you do pink, red, orange , burgundy, mauve , brown & purple:sigh:
It sooo pretty!! I cant wait for you guys to get yours!!
Does the effect versus similar powders (Nars comes to mind) justify the $$$? I don't know much about Guerlain's non-ball powders. So I picked up the voyage compact today from Nordstrom! The powder feels slightly mattifying but gave the same blurring effect similar to the yesteryear offerings! (based on trying out at the store, haven't tried mine yet) !! The texture felt similar to wulong except for the color! Will report back more once I try it on!
I havent tried it on yet except for at the counter! I would think the effect has to be close but i prefer the meteorites version a tad bit more for the blurring effect it imparts!Does the effect versus similar powders (Nars comes to mind) justify the $$$? Value wise the $100 or so dollars is definitely for the collectors edition packaging since the refills cost around $55! I splurged bec i had kept some extra $$$ for the collection and knowing its a splurge lol ! The powder i believe wont disappoint but the price vs value would be a personal choice imo![]()
