Hey, has anyone tried the Guerlain gel eye liners? I guess that is what Nordies is calling them but Guerlain is calling them a Khol

I think I would like to try one of these. They get really good reviews.

But now that I've learned how to do winged liner on these hooded lids of mine I'm game for new liners & such.

I dont travel with any of my high end makeup. I got about $800 worth stolen out of my luggage. Never again. I don't take any LE items either. If i must i always carry them on.
Oh no - how terrible. :(

When I'm travelling on business I only take a carry on, but I've checked my makeup the last couple of international family trips because I tend to pack food for my brood into my carry on. It was also handy to keep all the liquid/powder items together in my Sephora Weekender bag. After reading this I'll just make sure to keep room; the kids can carry their own lunches!

:yahoo: My Rouge de Guerlain 820 Rouge Parade (sound like a race car) Jewel lipstick has shipped!  I should get it by this Thursday:yahoo:
I finally got to see the collection today! I made a point of swatching Parade next to Garconne. It's weird, because they're very close, but at the same time, the undertone is really different. Parade looks brighter and a little lighter. I kept changing my mind about which one was cooler versus warmer. I'm completely torn. Red lipsticks are one of my (many) cosmetic weaknesses, but $50 is a lot to pay for a lipstick that's close to what I already have.

Oh I hear that!!! Good to know that they're close---I don't have Garconne and I won't even look to purchase it since I'm getting Parade. Do you think Garconne has more of a pink undertone?

I just bought Garconne yesterday so I guess I'll be skipping Parade since they're close. Thanks for the info, Katred!

I'd say that Parade is the pinker of the two. Another way that I can think of describing it is that if you think of the warmth as adding yellow/ orange to the shade, the yellow in Garconne would be just a little more golden, like caramel, whereas the yellow in Parade would be lighter and clearer- sunshine or lemon curd. Now I'm hungry. Neither is exceptionally cool or warm, but they each have warm elements and it's in those warm elements that they differ.

Well then it sounds like I might need both for their individual and divergent elements

Doesn't take much for me to justify a new lippie but I'll enjoy Garconne
vicariously through Naomi. Have you made your decision?

Yeah and maybe a touch pinker? Hmm....I'm still debating. Damn my lust for red lippies!
You look really good in both orange-red & red w/pinker undertones, so you can't go wrong w/either! At this point it's a matter of what you prefer.

I actually just squealed when I saw this!

Isn't that the classiest Swiss Army Knife you've ever seen?

Actually my Rose Grenat 864 looks more like a Swiss Army Knife because the embellishments are
silver toned instead of gold like Rouge Parade.
