I personally have no problem with what he said, but a lot of people are on his shit about it. It's freedom of speech so I don't give it two thoughts.

You have to have certain qualifications to speak now? I don't think so.

yeah, it'a called being an american citizen and having the right of free speech. unfortunately the bush administration has trained the sheep of america not to believe this anymore. from now on, you have to look like an inbred dumbass and be on fox news in order to speak your mind.

nazis....

if you have anything hurricaine relief related to say please message me and I will reopen the topic. I think that the previous comments were extremely uncalled for, ridiculous, inane and ignorant.

Janice, MAC_Obsession, I'm sorry but I think they may need some clarification.

First of all, its not the bush administration or FOX that is biased. I could very easily say you are brainwashed by the extream left. I have yet to find CNN, NBC, ABC etc to find anything "balanced" and not skewed. Fox at least has some form of balance and the left hates it because wow, george bush might do something GOOD once? Wow. What a concept.

2nd of all, if you dont like any of what I just said, then stop bitching about it and do something other than whine. Go out and protest, send out petitions, quit your job and do every damn thing you can if you feel that strongly about it. I bet you won't. WHY? I'll tell you why, you dont want to quit your job because you need money. No you don't. The government will take care of you. You dont want to because it's too much work? Then thats being lazy. You don't have enough time? Then make the time. If you feel that strongly then DO SOMETHING other than doing what your doing now. What is a message board going to do? Absolutely nothing. They read your post, delete it or ignore it.

Now, since I have exercised my freedom of speech to tell you what I think. I will tell you what qualifies as freedom of speech. Anything. Heres the next trick though. YOU HAVE NO RIGHT to be offended. It is not protected under bill of rights. You can be offended but its not your right to be. You have the right of free speech, a fair trial, to petition, free press and free religion. Nowhere does it say you have the right to be offended. ALSO, you have free speech you can say whatever you want, and if it's considered slanderous, under law you can be sued. West was recorded, its all over TV. Its in News papers. I *COULD* be considered slanderous.

SO let me end this by saying, he had his right to throw his little tantrum. He's an american citizen and is protected under the law of the U.S. NOW with that, he also has to suffer the consequences. Yup so if people loose respect for him thats ok, if people want to call him a dumb ass thats fine, if they want to call him ignorant, rude and crass, thats fine as well-because thats the reaction to his free speech moment and others are having their free speech moment. He'll suffer the reprocutions.

SO-in short- I am OFFENDED by your picture. I have great respect for anybody who holds office in the Presidency. Do I have a right? No. Am I allowed to? Yes.

Unless I can find some legal way to get that picture removed I have no legal case against it.

Freedom of Speech- that would be me saying something like this, " I think your ignorant because you only listen to one side of the story in which CNN spouts off instead of doing your homework and looking it up from at least 3 different unbiased sources."

I'm protected under the law of the constitution.

Now, to suffer your own reprocutions for calling people nazi's without giving me referrances to make you believe they are that is *UNBIASED* is uncalled for and just as crass. It is ignorant and just flat out rude. I have no idea how you decided in your infinate wisdom that a topic based on how to help Katrina's victims somehow got to bashing bush. But then again thats what rude people do. They can't just say, " Well shit happened now lets go fix it" no they can't. WHY? They are too lazy to do a damn thing about it. SO while your sitting there whining about how horrible your life is because you didnt get what you want in the election or what happened with Katrina or with what happened with Kayne West there are people who are out there who gave up their jobs to support Kerry and the democratic party, people who are taking time off work to help the victims and people who have already written and called and I'm sure West is hearing about it now.

So quite frankly, now that I've calmed down a bit, and you needed to hear this-next time you spout shit off like that you will know a lot of people dont pay you any attention because they know you are doing nothing to solve the problem.

OH and just for future ref.

This is the OFF TOPIC ----> Chatter FORUM but with the topic name being Help for Hurricain Katrina Victims.

Not lets call everyone nazi's.

Yadda yadda yadda.. Bush is not only the worst thing to happen to the U.S. ever but one of the worst things to happen to the world imo. Not because hes a republican but anyway.. this thread really isn't about him though, so I won't bang out some big long rant on him personally..

Its a twisted and pathetic world when everything becomes about partisan politics. Wake up to the fact that it keeps you stupid and ignorant. As long as you feel the need to belong to one club or the other, no truth, no logic, no anything will matter a good god damn. Don't you think this us vs. them atmosphere is cultivated for a reason? Its all about control. It makes you feel like you have a choice when you really don't have any. It lets them put you in a little box so they know just how to cater to you and just what to say to get your panties in a bunch. It makes you feel educated on issues when in reality all you are hearing is the BS twisted version of things that they are feeding you because they know you'll react right along the lines as every other republican or democrat. Each of you have your own brains, how about using them? As long as its the democrats vs. the republicans, Americans will have no control over their own government. Unfortunately the rest of us suffer as a result as well.

Anyway rant over.. but I think everyone who defends the actions of the government in this crisis just because they consider themselves republicans should really be disgusted with themselves, and likewise if you don't really know the facts but are quick to blame Bush just because you consider yourself a democrat or other Bush hater, you're an idiot as well. All those people so horribly let down.. dead.. homes lost.. injured.. ignored.. marginalized.. etc. deserve more than to be a pawn in your ridiculous, pointless, futile political games.

Is that seriously all you have? Oh.my.god. theres no use even talking to you. Your so shallow, pedantic, uninformed and all you can do is take cheap shots because you don't even know enough as to why you hate the man. If you hate him-thats fine but at least know WHY you hate him other than "everybody else does"-and then be able to give reasons, and places for people to look up. My.God. Pethetic.

Leppy-
This is why I am a Jeffersonian Dem. It absolutely drives me nuts that people as a body always run to government. I can bet all the money in the world, if the government hadn't put so much red tape, so much regulation, so much everything-starting from the city and going up to the Presidency this disaster of the aftermath really could've been prevented.

It was the red tape of FEMA that wouldn't let the Red Cross in. It was Pasi Coma Tadis (I hope I spelled that right) that made the Governor of Lousiana decide when Bush asked the next day if they needed military support-"no, I think I should wait a day or so to see what happens". http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2...5/234033.shtml
Pasi Coma Tadis is basically-you cannot use the military in force (Ie: GUNS) on american soil without the OK from the state gov or being asked to by the gov. of that state.

So all this red tape that was set up BEFORE the hurricain actually struck was hindering them horribly when the help was really demanded. All the stuff the GOVERNMENT got involved in. Regardless of party. The navy rode out the storm in the Gulf-had 2 ships there but couldn't go in because of pasi coma tadis. The red cross was at the door that day couldn't get in because of the red tape. You had individuals who had buses ready to help survivors the next day-red tape got in the way. Red tape that was put there by dem's and republicans.

thats just illustrating my point.

Thats why its driving me crazy.

The american people are like sheep. They don't like to think. It's hard. Sometimes when you think you have tough questions to answer that you dont want to.

Theres regulations on everything, and quite frankly, while some regulations are good-some are bad and useless which is 99% of them.

Even teachers have red tape. It's assinine and hopefully it took this disaster and this absurdity to show us that more government is bad. I mean I believe that the government involvement-lets just say there is a *REASON* our children don't test as well as other countries. Government should have (federal government) little or no impact on our day to day basis. Same with state and local.

Again leppy, please dont think I'm bashing you because you gave both points very well

I think I'm just irritated is all because as you said, we all have brains but we dont use them.

great post.this is why you cannot trust any information that the u.s. government releases. everything is dumbed down and withheld.shit, i took you for a bush/republican supporter!? instead of letting the guard down and taking care of the lives at stake.the red tape/government bullshit stops outside(other countries) and immediate help from saving the lives of humans/animals.

what a ridiculous situation it is down in the gulf.
