Help me pick out brushes!

hey all. im andrea, first time poster

im not a pro by any means....dont work at MAC or anything. just a long time lover and user of makeup hehe.

my question is about brushes. as ive gotten better with my makeup application ive noticed that i think i need more proper tools. i have a brush for application of foundation and concealer, and a bronzer and blush brush. my main concern/question is regarding brushes for application of eye makeup. my main brush is the MAC #224.

im going to sephora today armed with giftcards. what i asking all of you is: if i could purchase FOUR brushes today that are essential for the application of makeup (keeping in mind i have the #224) what should they be, and what are they used for?

I really just have MAC brushes, so I can't help much if you're headed to Sephora. MAC-wise, I'd say you need a 239, 217, 242 or 252, so you could look at photos of those and choose some things like them.

From Sephora... I LOVE Smashbox's #12 brush for filling in my brows. You may have a brow brush already. Also, it seems that the Sephora brand smudger brush is pretty awesome.

Sephora's blending brush #29 and all over shadow brushes #22 & #23 are fantastic. I also love a good angled liner brush.

#239 - to pack color onto the lid
#217 - to define outer V, blending, creasework
#266 - to apply gel liner, fill in brows
#219 - for more defined outer V, smudging eyeliner

sephora sells a too faced teddy bear brush set that is a mazing... you should check it out!
