How do you apply a crease?

I've never applied a crease but now i'm trying to get into it. Please explain how you do it, i've seen loads of different styles and effects and i've no idea how some of them are created. Also i don't know how people blend the crease but manage to still keep that crease area colour defined and not muddied up into the lid colour... Please help!

Did you look at the tutorial page? That might be of help to you.

To not muddy up colors, blend in one direction, not back and forth.

I don't use the typical crease brushes in the MAC line, I use an angled brush from a clinque gift from years ago and I just put color on from the top of my eye ball right to left and however high nearest the brow that I want it to go in a sweeping motion going progessively left (I don't use a highlighter under the brow, though you can if you want) and then blend the best I can(not very good but I try). thats the best i can explain it. hope that helps!
