I have a Claires 21-eyeshadow pan. I dumped/scraped all the eyeshadow out of the tins and thought I could reuse them. How do you sanitize and make sure they don't rust?

Put some alcohol on a q-tip and clean around pan or u can use a make-up wipe.

A make-up wipe will leave a silicone/glycerin reside and prevent any pressings you do from taking properly.
Mist with alcohol, wipe clean, spray again and leave them to sit. If you're extra concerned and the tin pans aren't in a plastic casing, place the tins under high fast heat in the oven for ten minutes.
