How much of your collection is gratis?

I'd say 85% of my kit was purchased
But I'm lucky because the girls at MUFE like me, one of them is closer to be a friend than just a MUA. We've been to New York together last may for the Makeup Show. She gave me a lot of things she had in her own kit, like a brush belt, some pressed powders, foundations, a kabuki, pigments and such... and at the counter when I buy she always make sure I get goodies for my kit.
I guess it helps having a friend in the industry, who believes in your carreer.

Almost all of my kit is purchased... there might be a couple of things in it that were gifts... but most of it is purchased. I'm not opposed to having freebies in my kit... I would love to... but as of yet I haven't had the opportunity to receive many...

I'm not a makeup artist or anything, but I work for Clinique at a dept store. And I have crap loads of other brands, but as far as my Clinique stuff goes I'd say 75% of it I got from gratis. The other brands I had to drop a lot of money on but I am a beauty addict so what can I say I can't resist *sigh*
