How to avoid looking like courtney love

So the other night I wore my Russian Red l/g to work VERY sheerly so it wasn't too out there... and I went to the bathroom about an hour later and low and behold............

It was smeared all around my mouth.. like flipping courtney love or some shit

I want to wear it out tomy bday on friday but.. hell.. not like this

Maybe I need to wear my brave red lipstick instead???

I think red anything needs lipliner. A lip primer or stain will help underneath too to keep it where it should be.

Be careful with the liner. Beet liner by mac does the same thing (bleeds out)and doesnt help your problem!

The tip my MA gave me.... line your lips with clear brow wax! It is amazing! It doesnt let anything travel over the line!

Setting your lipstick with clear powder is also possible....I always do it and my lipstick stays for many hours on my lips without fading and smearing

I hear Cargo Reverse Lipliner is good for this! Never tried it but the reviews on MUA are good

Apply lipliner all over lips. Apply lipstick. Blot with a tissue and lightly dust with powder. Reapply and blot several times. It won't go anywhere.
