I am interested to work as a Receptionist at a salon, what should i do?

i am going back to college and very much interested in working in a salon. I dont know what should i do though, should i get a certificate on salon mgmt first? currently i am working as an office assistant 9-5, but i am bored and really want to work in beauty environtment. Any advise? Thanks!

im actually taking my resume and app today to a salon in my town for reception. i just asked them while i was there saturday if they needed receptionist. she said yes and told me to fill out the app and bring it back into her. To be a receptionish you really dont need any "special" training in my opinion. shoot even the salon manager doesnt have a certification in any beauty type course work.

will do. i have my interview on wed. im excited, but nervous. ive been getting my hair done there for 4 years. so they already know me!! ha, hopefully that will pretty much get me the job!!
