I think I will have to put my cat Eureka down within the next couple of days. I have had her since I was 14, I brought her home from a shelter shortly after my mom passed away. Now, 17 years later, she has the same cancerous tumour in her mouth that took my mom away from me. Our only option was to have half of her jaw cut away. At 19 years old, it's just not an option. We only found out a few weeks ago and the tumour is so agressive there wasn't much change that the surgery would be successful. She has now lost her hearing, the sight in one eye, and can no longer even keep her tongue in her mouth. It all happened in weeks.
We went through all this last year with my dog. We had him on chemo for a year and the vets were surprised that he did so well. But finally, he came out of remission and the chemo was no longer working.
It just breaks my heart that once again, cancer will away another loved one.
My baby..

I just don't know how I am going to do this again
