I Hate Carbon

What e/s is a true black that isn't blue based?
I'm sick of using carbon and it turning blueish :[

urban decay's zero is darker and richer than carbon .. to me at least

I dont know how you feel about drugstore makeup, but apart from CG-my fav drugstore eyeshadows are from wet and wild. They are extremly pigmented, and last, and last. The black one is called WICKED. It has a light shimmer to it, and is honestly my fav black shadow that I own. No blue undertone(I promise) Did i mention supercheap. I'll do a swatch for you asap.

blacktied doesn't turn out blue, it goes on pretty true black and you can work up how dark you'd like it.

i have urban decay disco 2000. its true black but is full of sparkles!

i dont have carbon, but i have the pigment version just called black. its very matte. and very very black.

what i've learned is that if you put a black on top of any color with reflects, it will bring out those reflects. like, whenever i try to smoke out my pink pearl pigment, any black i put on top of it brings out the purple'ish blue reflects in it and makes it darker. so in that case, the black did turn blue, if you will. but when i use it any other time, it does stay a true black black.

BUT! lol...keep us updated on your search, because i would love to know if you find one that works for you

I was thinking the same but never dared to say anything fearing being accused of MAC blasphemy

I'm totally on the hunt for that super pigmented magic blackest black too

Not sure if you can buy it single. I got it years ago with my professional kit but it comes out true black, and because it is made for theatre the stuff is heavily pigmented.

OK Lady's i have found the best matte black to use!!
Unfortunetly, i found it in two of my palettes for KAT VON D's makeup line @ Sephora.
The black in each of her three palettes, is so pigmented, im talking 3-4X the pigmentation of carbon. Im not sure if she sells that black as a single but if you looking for some great colors, her palletes are awesome. The colors are so smooth and way more pigmented than any MAC shadows.
I highly recommend them!

bare escentuals has a liner shadow called onyx. it's serious business and if you don't tap off the extra like crazy there's a bunch of fallout...but if you have a boutique by you you can ask for a sample of it to see if you like it or not.

Have your tired NYX black e/s?that is more pigmented than carbon,I have to pack on colors with carbon,while it just take one sweep for NYX black.

I agree with this. I haven't tried all blacks out there but I gave my Carbon away after I got NYX Black. It's much more black than Carbon can ever be and it's also softer in texture!
