I have a question about Part-Time/Full-Time MAC Interviews.

I have a interview coming up on the 10th of September in downtown Chicago with our recruiter. Our recruiter actually put the ad up on craigslist.com for part-time/full-time workers, not freelancers because I asked that over the email I sent her.

Now, the question I have, is how many of you were hired as a full-time/part-time employee? And what was your hiring process for that employment? Are they as hard on your about your cosmetic application skills as someone who is going for a freelancer position?

Thanks to all who answer

i was hired has part-time and just promoted to full-time (yay!) it was the same as pretty much what you've read on here. i had 2 years of cosmetic experience plus retail management. but its so different for everyone. there is a woman i work with and she was a waitress with no make-up experience and got the job a the store. so you never know! it all just depends on what the manager is looking for and what that counter/store might need personality wise. but go for it and give it all you got!

good luck, hope that helped

I have only about a year of cosmetic experience and it wasn't in a high scale cosmetic field like Lancome or Benefit or anything like that. I worked at Victoria's Secret as the Beauty Specialist for a good year and excelled there greatly. But that's about it, then I went on to a secretary job to get some office managing skills down, which was a nice experience.

But I have some pretty good experience with applying cosmetics to customers/family members/friends. I have done my friend's prom faces since I was 16 and am still doing it for their little sister's XD I don't know if that counts but I wouldn't believe it would hurt my chances.
