I NEED MAC instead OF...

Ok, so I was just posting under the first mac purchase thread and it got me to thinking. There have been times when I was just plain ole tacky for MAC. I decided not to pay my BG@E bill (gas and electric, I'm from Bmore) to buy MAC, I needed some essentials, of course the Makeup seemed more essential than my BG@E.

Thank god my BF at the time understood my habit, my lights stayed on that month,

I definitely budget my money alot more now for my FIX.

SO that led me to ask, What have you sacrificed for MAC? ie. bills, lunch for month, clothes or shoes etc.....

I've never not payed a bill for MAC but have not bought a shirt/dress/jeans to get a few e/s.

i used to have 2 jobs when i had to pay full price for MAC... so hollywood video was my MAC money. haha

I totally agree with Dianora! Even though I love MAC I always pay my rent and bills first and then worry about my extras.

even if you love mac with all of your heart, you shouldn't put it in front of dealing with your REAL commitments, IE bills, etc.

I think what the OP means is, are there any times that you have sacrificed a couple of things for MAC, ie: small things such as; going out for lunch everyday to save to buy a couple of MAC products..

Sometimes I will skip my mani/pedi so that I can buy MAC. Trust me, these feet should not be skipping a pedi!! But, I can't help it, there is so much I need!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I need MAC instead of the facecare I normally use...I don't want to pay around $45 with tax for my serum, so I just skimp and buy MAC instead.

Sometimes I'll give up food. But I mean, instead of ordering the $6 drink from Starbucks, I'll get a bottle of water from the vending machine (healthier too!). Or I'll not get anything when my friends and I used to leave during study hall and go to Panera, which was good because I seriously don't need the extra million calories from Panera's delicious bagels.

Or sometimes I'll give up a shirt or pair of shoes, which (again) is okay because I am seriously running out of closet space and I don't want to Good Will any of it because I still wear like 90% of it.

But I have never actually forgone something important for MAC. Thankfully I don't have any *real* bills, but I've still never gone without doing things with my friends or actually feeding myself just so I could buy more MAC.

I usually cut back on spending at work or magazines or nights out for I can buy Mac. I budget it in what I want to spend but I always want to spend a little more. Sometimes, I do take out of my savings to buy something from Mac. I always pay my bills though.

I dont spend as much as I used to on clothes and shoes to let me buy more mac....I used to buy new shoes and clothes ALL the time.... I still get some here and there but not as often...

I also pay my bills and all other everyday needs first. It would be crazy to imagine me to buy MAC instead of paying my bills..

But if I have some extramoney and I have to decide do I buy some new clothes, go barhopping or movies, buy something else extra for myself or spend in MAC or other cosmetic products I definitely choose to get some new makeup. I pamper myself by shopping some new nice makeupstuff and MAC is also my passion. So it is really an easy decision.

generally i budget £50 a month to spend on mac products. But if i need something else like shoes/ hair stuff and i haven't been paid as much that month (i'm commission based) then that eats into my mac collection.

although i did once leave getting my highlights done for 10 weeks(!!!) because i spent over £50 on a collection that of course i HAD to have!
