The problem I have with ebay sellers is that they don't ship anything to Croatia, unfortunately. I know I read somewhere here that here some people sell samples as well but don't know where I've seent that so I'll be lurking around if I could find that information again cause I would really like to try something before my boyfriend goes to California so at least he'll know what too look for.

Anyway, thank you a lot dear.

Hi,

I sell 1/2 tsp samples, have around 150++ choices and ship all over the world. feel free to PM me for more information. Half of my buyers are now international...today I've done 5 orders and 3 were outside of the U.S. I actually live in calif too, I hope your boyfriend has a nice trip here

I'd be interested in seeing some pics, these arent like any authentic pigment jars (even pre 2001) that I have seen.

I'd be really interested to know when mine were bought before I ended up with them. I can tell you though that the colour pay off is really good with the green pigment and ive had ppl tell me they're genuine just insanely old!

But everyone knows with MUCH MUCH older pigments you can almost never be 100% sure they're real unless you bought them yourself of course!

I too have 2 green jars and both dont have shiny lids, they are the flat black. I also have a few other old rares and they also have the flat black lids

Hello, I found you through Google and wondered if you could use your sleuthing skills on this here pigment. I bought it off eBay and am unsure about it. It is a very vivid colour, but I noticed a couple of negative feedbacks left about the authenticity of the seller's other non-MAC products and got the fear (though admittedly 3 out of about 4500 isn't bad!). I usually just get the vials from the holiday sets but wanted to branch out a bit, and don't have the salary to go to the shop itself too often...

THere's no ingredients? Is that normal?

I'd appreciate your thoughts!

(I'm not sure how you like to do things here, if you'd like me to take the image tags off so I don't clog up the page let me know

Hi....If you could include a picture of the pigment without the top on it would help. Not all of MAC's pigments come with the ingrediants listed so that's OK and the batch number is correct. It's hard to tell in the picture because of the flash if the lid is very shiny or more of a flat black. It looks shiny in the picture but many cameras can cause it. The shiny lids stand out so yours can be is from the flash. When I take my pictures the same thing happens...

One thing I noticed is how easy the writing on the back of the jar is to read. On my silver fog(and others) , the writing on the jar is hard to read, the ink isnt as dark/thick as yours. At the same time I checked some of my other full jars like pink vivid, french violet and the ink is darker.

Let us know about the lid color and a picture of the pigment with the top off.

I did take a photo with the top off, but I needed to use a flash and it never seems to pick up true colours! You should see what it does to my goldfish... Anyway, here it is just in case.

Oh yes, and I would say that the lid is definitely more matte than shiny - I think it's just the troublesome flash again. It's a sort of flat black with an undershine picked out in bright light, if that makes sense.

It's not a problem, I Paypaled it and so can get a refund easily enough, but it's a bit rubbish that there are so many floating about! The moral is probably to save up for the real thing bought from a shop, but at £15 a go it hurts a lot. I have lots of the little glass Holiday vials but they're not really in the colours I would necessarily choose. Maybe the next set will be brighter. *Crosses fingers*

Out of interest, what is it about the box that makes it look dodgy? I suspect I will need some information to bolster my request for a refund, and more to the point - the return postage charges. I'm not going to be out of pocket for a fake product!

This is a fake - the base of the jar tells me that. No need to look at anything else I'm afraid

As for the box, it's very dull in color & scratched (also very easily scratched). Authentic boxes are a vibrant black color & aren't easily scratched.

Do youthink? It's a deep matte black in real life and I can't scratch it with my fingernail - only sort of dent it. There are no scratch marks on it at all. I'm not in any way doubting anyone of course, but I know that flash photography is a bit misleading and so I just wanted to make sure I get my facts straight! In fairness, the box is identical in material to my MAC mirror.
