stupid stupid stupid.
speaking of abortion issues, did anyone else see the episode of 30 Days on FX with the woman who works for an abortion clinic staying at the pro-life maternity home for 30 days? I'm pro-life myself, but I was really pissed at how the pro-life people there were acting. Made us all look like a bunch of morons.

I am fairly certain that the abortion provider will not allow pictures to be taken. That is if, which I seriously doubt, this blog holds a grain of truth.

Haha, yeah it's obviously a hoax. I guess it didn't sit well with some anti-choicers, but who cares. It's a lot better than being forced to continue a pregnancy.

I wish it were real. Then like she said, maybe the anti-choice would put their money where their mouth is. They try to convince people to continue pregnancies, but it's not like they will assist the mother once the fetus is born. Oh yeah, then the same people bitch about the moms who decided not to get an abortion being on welfare. Get real.

It would be her fetus.. so I'm sure she may do what she wishes with it. My friend took hers home and buried it.

There is so much about this post I don't agree with.

Just say that it IS real...for a minute here.

A) She's an adult. What she does with her girl parts is all her own business though I don't agree with abortion as a form of birth control, which is what she is using it for.
B) Not like they will assist? If you (general you) can't get help, you don't know where to look. Churches, women's groups, etc. are more than willing to assist when there is genuine need.
C) People don't bitch about the people who are on welfare. People bitch about the people who get on welfare and use is as a way of life instead of the stepping stone it was meant to be.
D) Have you ever performed an abortion?

Of course there are resources (gee, I work for one), I'm simply talking about most of the anti-choicers who attempt to convince women to continue their pregnancies.
There are plenty of people who loathe welfare recipients in general.
And though I assume your last question was rhetorical, my answer is no. But hey who knows, if anti-choiers get their way legally (in Canada), I just may.

I have. Numerous times.
It sounds like such a cool and sterile procedure where there's not a whole lot to worry about.

Yeah.

Wrong.

My last question wasn't rhetorical, and I don't know what you do for a living.
Perhaps instead of raging against the anti-abortion contingent, energies would be better spent educating the mothers regarding all of their options, including avenues of resource once the child is born, should they decide to keep it?

The effects of abortion are long term, and extend beyond walking out of the hospital room, obviously.
Granted, I am a moderate on this particular subject, however I would think that instead of berating a woman OR a contingency for the propaganda either believed or put out, if more people made the effort to educate the female in question, perhaps this entire debate would be come unnecessary.

I think it's really stupid and immoral to have an abortion to make a political statement. I'm as pro-choice as you can get, but that's sickening. I believe you should have one only after careful thought or in extreme situations, but that's for myself (I also don't do anything without birth control.) If you want to use abortions as your birth control, fine, but be aware of the consequences from that and don't complain later when you realize what you've done.

Had that child not been aborted (or if it weren't a hoax), I mean, my God, could you believe what it would be like to be the child, raised and people know that your mother used you to make a political statement? That she really didn't want you? What the hell kind of parent are you going to be? Was she planning on adoption or rasing the kid?
