Is the Smoked palette a good buy?

I've been thinking of buying a MAC Palette this year and I've narrowed it down to the Smoked Palette, but I'm not sure if it would even work with my colouring? I'm a NC40 with dark hair and eyes. The only other palette I own is one from the 2000 collection which I've barely touched!

Is the Smoked palette more suitable for an evening look or can you use it during the day as well? Thanks

Those colors in the palettes are pre-selected to go with *most* any coloring. I would certainly think they'd go very well with an olive-dark coloring...so that's one question down...

Is it a good buy? I think so. I bought it

It's even better if you don't have most of the colors in it...I have Satin Taupe (blends like a DREAM) and Black Tied...but I didn't own the other four...I love it! There's a new silver-y color in there, and I LOVE those silver/platinum colors!

The colors are great..and a couple of them are staples (a gal cannot go w/o Satin Taupe and Black Tied in their collections..IMO)...

All that said, the decision is ultimately up to you, of course; but I don't think you'll go wrong by getting it...A woman (of any coloring or ethnicity) can't make a mistake with a hot, sexy smokey eye!!!!

I wasn't originally going to get this, even though I don't own any of the colors in it. However, my husband let the cat out of the bag last night that he likes it. So, off to MAC I go to get it LOL! Luckily my MAC still has quite a few!
