well, if he already thinks you're wearing a bra and is cool with it, go for it!

I'm sorry if my previous post about "moobs" sounded a little flippant. I do understand that you had an unpleasant experience. Your friend's BF is what I believe is technically known as a "jerk". I guess though that people sometimes do things they wouldn't normally do when they have drunk too much so perhaps you need to make sure your friend watches his drinking. He might stop abusing her then too.

Best of luck!

Haha. I dunno. Bras are pretty uncomfortable, and it's not like I need support. Most girls I talk to say they wouldn't wear them if they didn't need to.

No worries. I wasn't offended at all. Though depressed for a few days afterward, I cheered up yesterday thanks to my salon appointment and some good experiences with friends. Everyone's comments here helped a lot too!

Great! What did you get done at the salon or have I missed a post on that?

Heehee. I dunno exactly how to respond to that. I don't think I'm a normal crossdresser. Most crossdressers would also wear panties, and I hear that's the first female item of clothing many get. But I just wear mens' briefs. Not that I wouldn't wear lingerie (I've tried some on before, and it'd be fun to shop for!), but it's just not that important to me. I mean, it doesn't really affect my outside appearance (none of my tops would let bra straps show), though I guess people could notice the outline under my tighter, thinner tops. I think a lot of people would think a crossdresser in lingerie has a sexual fetish and is creepy, and I'd rather not be seen as creepy. I think another factor is that if I were to wear padded bras to imitate large breasts, or get breast forms and wear bras over those, it'd be like I was pretending to be something I'm not. It's the same concept that makes me not identify with 'female impersonators'. I don't think of myself as pretending to be a girl, as much as I think of myself as trying to be as girly as the real me is. More of showing the truth instead of building a disguise. It's a confusing difference, I know. I don't fully understand it myself, especially since I seem to want to be just as girly as real girls. I may want large breasts one day (C-cups seem good) and get implants and/or hormones, but that's a big decision!

I got subtle blonde and brown highlights, and she styled my hair a bit differently (though it's the same basic cut, so I can wear my old style too). My hair looks more streaked and less reddish now. I LOVE going to the salon. It's so relaxing and fun, and the stylist is a close friend of one of my close friends, so we get along great!
I posted pics of my new style here.
