My package arrived this evening! I love Rose Initiale JC. I already had on MAC Lovecloud, but I swiped a little on the apples of my cheeks. Very pretty color. I also love the Caprice RAEG. I love this formula of gloss so much. It showed up on me -- probably because of my unpigmented lips. But I love a nude pink gloss for summer! I think filling the lips in with a nude pink lip liner would help on the wear time.
Very happy with my purchase :)

I think it is so so pretty on. I would describe it as a baby medium slight rose pink pink with good color payoff.

Is Caractere close to Mademoiselle RC? Less rosy than Mademoiselle, perhaps? Thebeautylookbook has a comparison between Culte and Caractere. I tried Culte on my lips and it was a very deep plum. I now realized it was because the MA had applied it on my lips with a lip brush that was stained by a darker colour. Noooo...not on my lips anyway. Mademoiselle has no plum tones and in fact turns warm/almost corally on me.

No. Its very pretty. I would call it more of a Mauve Plum with gorgeous gold shimmy.

I just ordered Furtif & Infini. I had to have Furtif after seeing those shots of the model in the above link. Then I always hope I don't look like a weirdo in the color.

Winthrop - how does Caractere look on your lips? Is it close to our lip color

when its on. I really loved the color on my hand but wasn't sure how the color would be on the lips.

They show up just fine on me. That's one swipe, with a medium shadow brush.

ETA: And the silver liner... I wonder if my tester was just bogus? I was staring at my arm like: Is that GLITTER? Oh heck no.

^^^That looks fabulous on you. Much better than what it did on me.
Maybe. Even the tester silver liner was really smooth which made me get it. After I posted about how my liner was smooth, I thought well maybe thats because it sat in the car in 100 degree heat

but yeah, there is very fine shimmer that ends up all over the place.

I'm sending my highlighter back, but I think I am keeping the quad if you can believe it! I really like it, but I know I in the minority. I got Caprice and just love it and now I want Troublant. I also received my Furtif - just gorgeous!!!! I can't wait to see the Anniversary quad tomorrow!! And Elegant, you have me wanting to check out the silver liner.....and Infini..........yikes!! I don't find Caractere glittery at all - just smooth shimmer. Wonder if there's a batch issue......

I topped Jersey Rose with Caprice RAEG and I am loving it :) Now I need the plum RAEG . . .

NARS released a silver liner called Via Crispi that is very similar but with no fallout. I don't know if it still available though. I bought it last year.
