Is there a trick to removing these mites? I always end up with bits clinging on for dear life and its putting me off using them. Even using the pro makeup remover makes little difference

I've never used LLL'ers, but I've heard that oil-based m/u removers work....MAC makes one; I THINK it's called 'Cleanse-Off Oil'.

cleanse off oil works fine, also L'ancome Bi-Facils is excellent ( I think that's the name...it's the one that splits).

Side note, an artist at a pro store said LLL was hands down the best eyeshadow base ever because its tacky at first for cream stuff and powder products, but it does not move at all once its dry. Even better than UDPP because of the color range (and there's one that actually looks like it could be my skintone...) and lasting power. I believed him, but I'm scared to put this stuff on my whole eyelid and have to get it off later.

I cant use the cleanse off oil, it burns my lids and I go splotchy. So I use some cocoa butter. I get a litte bit and melt it down between my fingers, apply it, leave a moment and then wipe off gently.

Sometimes it takes a few goes, but it works for me

I went to MAC to buy the cleanse off oil after reading the rave reviews and of course they were out of stock. My local beauty supply were having a deal on L'oreal products so I picked up L'oreal dermo-expertise gentle make up remover for eyes and lips (suitable for sensitive eyes) and it works a treat on the LLL!!

The product has two layers which you shake to combine. The top layer is made from oils and the bottom layer is made from a gentle cleansing lotion. It's worth a try if you can't get your hands on the cleanse off oil

I used cocoa butter b/c I didn't have the cleanse-off oil yet. I followed the same steps Ella did, and all worked perfectly fine.

OT a little, but still pertinent, maybe ;)

aaahhh! i used olive oil to remove something similar to LLL (Kinda a... thicker?? liquid liner, seemed really pigment-rich w/pearly pigment, thus thicker? i don't know how to explain this:confused: hehehe!) and i got some in my eye, and it made this weird oily layer on my eyeball!! I was so afraid something would go terribly wrong with my eyeball.. like i'd wake up friggen blind in one eye or something, LOL.

i was totally freaking out, and trying to literally "sop up" the oil on my eyeball with a tissue, but the oil bubble thingy (that you could actually SEE! omg it looked like i had a funnily jaundiced eyeball, agh!) kept slipping around. but awesomely, i woke up the next day with an olive oil "tear" on the side of my face. HAHA!

Oh! And it worked really well to take off that stubborn stuff!!! Literally ONE swipe, for me!

ifreaked out intially ebcause i couldn't get it out with alcohol eye makeup remover

then i used my shu uemura cleansing oil butthat didn't work

so i used olive oil and used that to get rid which works but ididn't like olive oil on my eyes!!

so one day i just used my shu uemura oil again, this time i applied the oil on the cotton pad and used that to rub it off and that finally worked

OFF TOPIC but i really hate liquid last. i bought so many colours and really regret it.

I have some wipes that take off all your makeup and moisturize your face afterwards (the blonde me in me forgot their name

) and they work like a charm!
Once I discovered that my LLL collection exploded
