Do you have any MAs who tell the others that you're their customer/s?

No, but I do have one MA at the MAC store in Cleveland that I like to deal with, she's very nice everytime I'm there and not pushy in the least.

My favourite MA is a black girl who always has amazing green and blue eyemakeup and has loads of peircings and a bright red afro. She's beautiful and always helps me chose things! I love her!

yes, i have my regular MAs. I always try to give them my sales if they are available, because they they have given me great advice and always take their time to help me out.

especially one, but i'm biased as i knew her outside of my crazy mac obssession. unfortunately she's also very busy with appointments at the counter she works at, so i don't get to buy from her often unless i plan my visit carefully.

Usually they'll tell you you're their customers because they don't want you to buy stuff from another MA, so they can get your commission money. It's a sneaky trick, don't fall for it. All we do is sell lipsticks, we don't really care who buys them.

Aww, that's a bit cynical! Actually, I go to my favourite MA because I know she's extremely talented, does my makeup pretty and helps me chose things that I always love! Not to help her get her commission money!

I love my fave MA Gemma. She never tries to talk me into anything I don't need, or if I have similar.

Plus when I went in on Sunday after an hours worth of weeping she fixed my make up, and gave me a hug as well as a free gift bag.

My Nordies MA never try to "sell" me anything cuz they know I usually know what I want. The Macy's MA don't make commission. Either way I've never felt pressured to buy anything other then from one MA and rumor is she got fired.

I always try to be loyal to certain MA's. If I like a girl's makeup I will usually remember her and go to her. I never really need help though just someone to grab me my items

People do tend to remember you though when you give them your business.
I've gone to different counters where girls have transfered to and been told a number of times "Oh, I remember you from such and such location." It's nice

Oh, that is a fabulous attitude, I just love it...

I do have customers that I love to help, people that we just click with. Other than that I am happy to help anyone who comes in. And most MAC MAs don't get commission IIRC, I know we don't at the store.

I haven't had anyone say that I'm specifically their customer, but the last three times that I've been to my counter during the holiday rush season I've had the same MA and I absolutely adore her. I think she might be a freelancer who doesn't usually work there though.

I'll be sad when she's gone because she's helped me pick out some really great colors for me.

I have a fav Make Up artist and I really enjoy shopping with him cause he knows my skin, my preferences, what I like and what I dont... and it's a lot easier finding the right products with someone who already knows you and your skin. There was one girl who kinda pushed me to buy things that just weren't made for me (dark foundations etc.) and that just doesnt happen with him. Plus, he's one of the most talented people I know and he never gives me "the look" just because I walk in trainers and not made up at all. So he really makes me feel comfortable and welcome. And I dont believe you can act like that and keep all that info in mind just to make commission...

*Aaaaaawwww I love my MAC up artist.*

This is going to sound dreadfully gushy, but part of the reason for my being into MAC is the attitude of the MAs at my local counter (Debenhams in Milton Keynes). They are all super-nice, really friendly and approachable, and not at all snooty or condescending like the people on some of the other counters. Even if AMC didn't have such gorgeous products, I'd probably still shop at that counter simply because the staff are so nice.

I'm pretty clueless with make-up, so I put great stock in the knowledge and helpfulness of the MAs. One of the girls at the MK MAC recommended me a gorgeous party look with purple and silvery shades that i would NEVER have gone for on my own, so that's yet another reason why I'll stick with MAC for now !

I've never had anyone call me their customer but I have a few MA's that are my personal favorites. I have one MA who seems to always remember something about either what I bought the last time I was in or something about what we talked about, which I like.

Yup! Tim is the absolute sh*t. I just talked to him yesterday regarding Danse and when he said that he wasn't working until the 28th-- I actually went "why nooooot?!!?" He laughed and said that as long as I support the company, he doesn't mind, but I'm only planning on purchasing only things that might be sold out on the 26th, then going right back on the 28th to give him the rest of my sale.
