MAC - A Rose Romance Discussion

Very nice!
But I don't think this are colours I would wear!
So I'm not too disappointed if the quad doesn't reach our shores.

Hmmm, so after seeing the quad swatches, I must say I am rethinking a purchase. While I do feel like the colors are pretty, I don't appreciate having contrast in there, and the other colors just don't scream unique.

That being said, I do hear the siren of the MAC quad calling to me. Quads are my weakness.

So I picked up Just a Pinch gel blush and

it is absolutely gorgeous! I would highly recommend it-I just love it on my NC35 skin

well my rose romance package arrived today! steal my heart gloss is super pretty and is a really nice wearable pink

circa plum pigment is very nice. will be great for day looks and i'm pleased i bought it! silverthorne was what i was most looking forward to and my first impressions are a bit blah... looks alot like silver ring but you can see the greeny bluey glow to it. but when i tried it on my hand i didn't go wow! that said i will be trying it out tommorow so will be able to form a better opinion then!

My rose romance came in today aswell

My favourite thing = love and friendship, i sat on the floor staring at it and applied it straight on, it's gorgeous!
Summer rose it's nice on me but i can totally see why people have skipped, i'm glad i didnt get Blush of Youth.
steal my heart = pretty plus it came free so i can't complain.
At first i thought oh no when i saw silverthorn i thought it looked so boring, but when i played around with it, i like it but i don't think it's amazing to be honest.
Virgin kiss = very glittery but it's quite pretty not regretting it.
A Rose Romance is nice i like it but once again you could find an alternative.
Finally Just a Pinch Gel Blush, now this i'm on the fence about, but i haven't try it on my face yet so we'll see

Overall i'm happy with what i got

I used my RR e/s now for about a week and I was kind of disapointed with the texture of y tu bouquet? too glittery I can only use it as a highlighter. As for silverthorn I like the colour but mine just doesn´t feel like a VP but rather like a Frost...I like of summer e/s it´s easy to work with an work friendly...And RR l/s is the most gorgeous rosé ever... thinking about a back up...

My total haul for Rose Romance is

Of Summer - very pretty soft color, love it
Love and Friendship n/l - just did my mani and pedi last night with this
Secret Crush - my favorite item of the collection, very pretty berry red, dh loves this
Tender Tryst - pretty but my son said it looked purple on me, lol

I was going to get the quad but I already have similar colors to everything in the quad except Contrast so I took my name off the list. I wanted to get Summer Rose but it would not show up on me. Overall I'm very happy with what I got.

Almost forgot, but my MA told me that on 5/23, Nordstroms is having a buy 2 mascaras, get an extra 1 mascara for free. You cannot get 3 different brands, but you can buy 3 different types of mascaras in 1 brand like all MAC or all Dior. Call your Nordstroms just to confirm that your store is participating though.

Speaking of Silverthorn, did anyone noticed that on the MAC website, it said it's a Frost but underneath the pot, it says Veluxe Pearl?

i just brought love and frienship np - very pretty on the nails. it is a pale pale purple, but still looks really nice! i think i am finally done with a rose romance!

Sounds like a nice haul, enjoy! I also like silverthorn, but don't think it's all that. I prefer Pincurl for a grey with a twist!

100% agree, the best thing of the collection. I was a bit unsure if I could wear it, but I like it a lot on me. Very natural and healthy. As I am not getting a lot of sleep atm I need this

Apart from Silverthorn, Tender Tryst is definitely my favourite product from the collection. I really, really regret not getting Secret Crush as well. See thru lip colours truly are unique - it's such a nice change, not having to worry that your lipstick is gonna come off or smear while drinking, eating, kissing, getting dresses etc. These little gems don't even leave a mark & are totally long-wearing. Love it

Pincurl is an amazing grey with a twist (almost like a pink with a grey twist, lol). But I love them both dearly. Since they are completely different, I use Silverthorn for warmer green, gold and blue looks & Pincurl for cooler pink, purple/violet and dark grey/blackish (I seriously don't know what I'd do with Top Knot, if I didn't have Pincurl) looks. Pincurl was probaby my the most used winter e/s & I have a feeling that Silverthorn is gonna take its place in the following spring/summer months. Can't help it - greys are my neutrals
