Oh, & speaking of Dior

all you pink/blush lovers.

I just got the Dior Glow blush in Petal. Its THE prettiest flush of color EVER! It may kick all my other pink blushes to the curb. It kinda blends with your own skin tone & actually makes the skin look lovely instead of just being a blush that sits on top of the skin. It gets 10

I ended up getting exactly what I said... Flamingo and Sushi Kiss.

Flamingo on the left and Sushi Kiss on the right

So I am absolutely in love with Sushi Kiss. It is so beautiful but unique at the same time. I have no corals in my collection that are comparable to it. It's very pigmented which can be scary because you can get a little happy with it and end up looking like a hot mess. It is perfect for the summer, very bright warm toned coral. To me, it's not an orange. Nothing bad I can say, I'm in love.

Flamingo is a light pink. It is a Lustre so it's hydrating but the colour is not as pigmented as it would be in a Satin or a Matte formula. It's a very beautiful, girly colour. However...it is not for me. I'm a NW30 and my lips are naturally pigmented. It looks extremely awkward on my lips and the colour shows up even less because my natural lip colour is so pigmented. It honestly looks like I'm wearing a weird, uneven coat of a lip balm. I feel like this colour would look so beautiful on someone that has a lighter skin tone and lip colour then me.

I'm going to MAC tomorrow and I'm hoping they will let me exchange it for something. I feel so bad because I have never returned or exchanged anything at MAC. Not to mention I didn't try them on in the store. Hopefully there is something else I could get.

Just got my Flamingo and Sushi Kiss in the mail today! They're both so beautiful, although Sushi Kiss is a little bold. It's something I've never tried before. It will be amazing for summer, though!

I experimented a bit to try and make SK a little more wearable for me, so I made a Flamingo/Sushi Kiss sandwich! I first did a layer of F, then one of SK, and finally another layer of F on top. It looks sooo gorgeous. I suggest you giving it a try if you find SK a little too much for you. Flamingo really softens it.

I went to the store and bought Flamingo and Sushi Kiss. Sushi Kiss is AWESOME and everyone should have it, period. It's not patchy, dry, or flaky. On me it's a milky corally orange. I wish I could back it up, but I'm low on funds atm. Flamingo is a nice coral pink, however, it's not that noticeable on my lips unless I swipe a few times. It's a really pretty color. I thought it was going to be similar to Juicy Melons from Too Faced, but they're quite different. I still prefer Juicy Melons though, that one is like a holy grail for me. I tried the rest of the lipsticks and I really liked Razzledazzler (the light milky peach) and Tart & Trendy (it shows soft orange on me). Sweet & Sour and Tangerine Dream were a miss for me; the first one for being a dry cremesheen despite loving the color and the latter for being too yellow. I hope Royal Sunset is available next week, because it's a really nice blush and I recommend it for everyone. Next round for me is Razzledazzler and Royal Sunset. :)

so i ended up picking up RS, HJ and TD. TD is kinda like ms beauty bunni described - an orange nude. i don't think i have any lipsticks that look quite so yellow, but the lustre finish makes it a good thing in my books...

i thought RS might be a fail when i tried it in store, because it was SUPER ASHY on my hand...but, on the face - not ashy at all. it showed up a lovely peachy pink shade. the mua was actually surprised at 'how nice it looked'...i think she expected most of the shades would not be suited to darker skintones. i haven't tried HJ on, but i think if RS worked, HJ should not be an issue.

i didn't try on anything else on my face... the rest of the lipsticks were outside my comfort zone, and they did not have neon orange, which i thought might have worked. but i guess i can try to pick it up at pro sometime....
I figured as much. I rushed to Macy's today to try Honey Jasmine. I virtually disappeared on my hand and RS was a bit ashy on my hand as well. I wondered if it was like Immortal Flower and the others last year that swatched poorly on my hand but looked lovely on my face. I may just try these two again. But goodness knows I don't need any more orangey/corally blushes. I can't wait for lipstick delivery tomorrow.

The trip wasn't a total waste because I bought Elegant's rec - Smashbox CC cream. The rec came just in time because I had noticed a lot dark spots on the side of my face that I don't really even notice when I make up my face and I was looking to get some kind of lightening cream. I thought I'd give it a try. I think I am between the two darkest colors. I decided to go with the medium because I figured I would put something over it anyway and I wasn't sure if the dark would work for layering. I may be able to give the dark a go come summer time when I get a little bit darker. But we'll see how it goes when I try it tomorrow.

Thanks lovie!!!  I need to post pics on here everytime I feel sick and crappy! Specktra is better than medicine!  HeeHee That cross necklace I picked up in Vegas at a store called "charming charlie" for - NO LIE - $7.00!  I liked that it was so cute and understated for days when I didn't want to think about my jewelry... (like the last few I've been so sick and poopie)!  http://www.charmingcharlie.com/   Maybe you can find a store near you on this link?!
Oh no! I had dinner with a friend last night and we walked right pass that store and went to sephora. She warned me not to go in there. By the time I left sephora it was closed :( I need to go back and check it out I love your necklace.

I'm scared to go back too! Your friend was right to warn you! HeeHee I want MORE of these little necklaces! They have yellow gold too. AND ones that have little words spelled out like "love" "faith" "grace" in this really pretty script writing! LOVE! If I had known how much I'd wear this necklace & how many compliments I'd get... I would have grabbed them all!

This is terrible lol! I feel tempted to get another lippie as Flamingo has been a success with me! Which of the other softer ones might work...sweet and sour...razzledazzler...? And I thought this collection would be horrible! Haha
