Ugh it sounds so pretty. I would have bought every single one without hesitation! They could have done so much with this collection.
I agree they could have done more, packaging is gorgeous but over all I'm not thrilled but I think there's some nice things in the bunch

Oh for sure there's some nice things but i agree with you it is a less thrilling collection. The packaging is beautiful.

The money went into the packaging rather than the product. Unfortunately you cant have both unless you are prepared to pay much more.

Agree. The packaging is amazing. I love it, but I'm totally not in love with anything from this collection. There are several things I could pick up, but they are sort of similar to something I already have (like the lippies) and the EDES's are $19 for a "mini" shadow. WTH? I have several of the larger EDES's and I like them, but they don't get used much. On top of all that, I am not a bronzer kind of girl. I am an NW13 and A: I sort of like being fair skinned, and B: even if I did want to wear a bronzer most are too dark or too orange to look good on my skin. I would have loved to have seen some teal, aqua and turquoise. I would have been all over that.

I am going to check out this collection in person, just to make sure... but I really feel like Mac has missed the boat on several of the collections lately. I don't like anything from Meleficent, Proenza Schouler I skipped mostly because my OCD will not allow square lipstick tubes and compacts in with my all MAC round collection. Playland I only got one lippie and I plan to skip Lorde's lippie. I hope Moody Blooms and the Osborne collections have come better items. I am so sick of black eyeliner and and red lipstick coming out with every collection!.

Luckily for me I've only really started getting into makeup in the last year or so so I don't really have much of a collection. I really love Mystical lipstick and, somehow, I don't have anything like it!

I'm with you ladies, I do really like the eyeshadows but I'm really not crazy about anything else. I give Mac credit for trying something different but I'm the girl who wants corals and teals for summer even if it's cliché and I have a ton! Lol I absolutely love the packaging for this collection though I think it's stunning

What's the use of putting money into a collection that has a bunch of bland colors that are totally expected. Bronzer and neutrals. I would be totally willing to shell out the cash for the small EDES's had the colors been unique. The lippies are neutrals with a Berry color that is almost a dupe for a color that just came out 2 months ago.

I wish Mac would come out with some new eyeshadow colors. Not special formulas like ED or mineralized. Just shadows in a pan. I feel like the last time I purchased a new shadow was a year ago with the by request.

I love being the pale one in my family. I do not tan nor wear tanning products. I do not do bronzer. The only reason I want AS ed bronzer is because I feel it leans a little pink. Hopefully I can wear it as a blush type over the fact it is a bronzer. I would have loved teal products aswell as the pretty packaging. I am right there with you. I am sick of red lipsticks for everything they do. I think thats the big problem this collection is all very familiar to something we all have.

I thought about that.. and then I talked myself down. I just got magnetic appeal for this same reason so I was able to resist. Like I said, I will be going to see this in person. Who knows maybe something will grab me when I really see it. Sometimes the ED stuff is hard to show on screen. I think I really just thought this collection was going to be something different than it is, because normally the ED collections are my favorite.

I love ED collections. Let me know if anything catches your eye. I will agree with you on that ed stuff is hard to tell in photos you really have to see it in person. Thats how it was with Pleasure model. In photos I decided it was a no, till I saw it. It is one of my favorites.

Ok I will. I'll even try to take some photos if I can. I am really hoping to love Pet me Please. I was going to see about getting GofS, but it's seems to be sooo close to heavenly hybrid that I think I'll pass. I feel like I JUST got Heavenly Hybrid so no need to be getting something so close.

I agree Heavenly hybrid and GotS is pretty close. I am hoping to love Pet me Please too.

I hear you. Still, the collection will sell just because of the packaging.

The problem with the ED formula is that the color palette is limited. The issue is similar to MSF and MES: Once you have a dozen in your stash, the new ones that come out will look very similar on your skin. We have already seen a lot of repeats of ED colors lately.

A fancy packaging simply means a more generic product that didn't need a lot of innovation and research. You can see the difference in the couture collection: Fancy packaging + innovative product = $$$$$$$$$$$$.

That is also the reason why we don't have a special powder in AA. I hope this helps to understand the products in these very beautiful packaging.

IMO, for NW 10-15, the bronzers in this collection are a no-go. Good call to check them out in person. If your budget allows, buy them for the packaging, but don't expect to get a lot of use out of them as you will look orangey. They are really more suited for those with yellow or olive undertones.

It would have been nice to see Careblend or PLW bronzers (the only ones with a red undertone), but those were eaten by the fancy packaging (see my post above).
