MAC Alluring Aquatic Collection (May 22, 2014)

love the packaging but these colors don't reflect the aquatic theme at all. I was expecting blues and greens and just pastel colors in general. I'm kinda disappointed . I hope swatches show up soon

I'm actually happy they're more everyday wearable. I wear bluish eyeshadow once a year..maybe not even that. I skipped last years collection since I didn't like all the bronze and sparkle. I'm super happy about the ED I love that! Especially since one if my ED blushes broke recently, now I'm not worried about replacing it lol.

I have my fingers crossed that one of those lipsticks is Hot Chocolate. Somehow I let that one get away. Its perfect on my skin but I haven't found anything even remotely close to it. But I'm definitely going in on this collection!

I love that lippie! Now I need to go through my stash of a bajillion lipsticks to find it so I can wear it again. I would definitely back it up if it's out with this collection or a future one.

Ditto in the EDB's. But def will be picking up a couple lipglasses.

I agree,they do look a lot like the magnetic nude collection. I don't know of I'll get any eyeshadows but want the blush! I'll wait to see swatches, they might change my mind.

If you want brights you should check out the Playland collection

I don't think summer necessarily has to be bright colours, just like it doesn't have to mean bronzed skin. I LOVE that MAC chose a pale model for the promo pic this time!

I too was hoping for more greens, aqua, and those kind of colors. Similar colors to the beautiful packaging. Especially with spring coming up I wanted more bright colors, but again I'll check out those swatches.

The promo pic surely is beautiful!

I guess this collection will be the first time I'll get more than 1-2 items from MAC's big Summer collection. The products in recent MAC Summer collections have always been too warm or too bright for my tastes. These products seem better suited for cool toned complexions.

I was expecting or I should say hoping for more blues, greens in this collection, but I'm not disappointed. I like when collections throw you a curve. I'm the type of person who doesn't believe in seasonal makeup. I wear all kinds of looks all year long and honestly, most of my looks aren't Summery at all. I wasn't the biggest fan of Surf, Baby. It was cute, but I'm not super into yellow or even teal eyeshadow. Mac has a bright collection, too. I think the bases are pretty well covered between collections and I already own so much crap that it's good when I can just spot 2 or 3 things to buy. Sweet relief. :lol:

Summer is almost all year in Florida (sorry, guys) so its easy to deviate from make up rules perse. I honestly thought that this collection would be some vibrant brights. Curious and eager to see close-ups of the es as I want a few. I know that the two glosses to the right are definites. In suspense about the blushes and ? skinfinishes etc. It has been a really light Mac year so far for me so I am looking forward to this collection.

As I said before I was hoping to see some bright shades from this collection, this is partially because I just started collecting makeup and I only have a few colorful shadows. My lip collection is bit more versatile. That being said, I really like some of the summer bronzy kind of looks I see in magazines. I would love some unique summer golds and sunkissed pinks, aquas ans greens.

That's so true! I was thinking they would do the norm, red, red-orange and bright pink lippies, Coral and pink blushes, etc. I'm still going to hold out hope that there is something very unique that I can buy in this packaging.
