I know, right? Whatever happened to being tactful? I understand being honest when it's necessary, but when you're just being nasty? And make up is very much like art, everyone's likes are different. If you don't like something, go look at someone else. It seems like some people say "I have no filter" as an excuse for being mean.
Pretty much! I know that when I don't particularly care for something I just keep quiet and move on. I've always felt that no one needs to hear every opinion you have just because you feel some kind of way, especially if it's something as trivial and non-threatening as a facebook or instagram post.

Absolutely. I'm amazed by how mean people are in comments. And the fact that there is such a thing as trolls is very sad. People just post mean comments to try to start arguments? What a thing to be proud of. Not!

That's one of the things I really like about Specktra. Generally everyone is very nice to each other. People post swatches and photos of themselves and everyone is so kind to each other, telling everyone else how great they look. We have to build each other up instead of constantly trying to tear each other down. :)

I agree. I was surprised when I first came here by how nice people were. I was waiting for some of the nasty comments and so glad when I didn't see them. Just imagine how the world would be if people did try to build people up more than judge and criticize. Not in the way of giving bad behavior a pass, but just being kind and more courteous. I wonder if there would be less mass killings and random violence?

Agree, they are very different and serve different purposes. Anybody with pigmented lips, especially if they lean mauvey, should have WCN and a BU. A lot of people get fooled by WCN's peachy appearance on hand swatches, but WCN shows its true colors (pun intended) only on the lips. Peach cancel out mauve = neutral nude lips, which serve as a base for any kind of nude lippie. I consider WCN really as a color correcting l/l. You only need a thin layer (as with any color correcting product).
Very interesting as I *do* have pigmented mauve-y lips. Thanks

I'm really not even surprised anymore at people's lack of filter/consideration. Everything revolves around social media nowadays, so people lack real social skills and face to face contact... and that means they never really have to face the consequences or the impact of their words

. A lot of people don't know how to interact with each other. next time you are at a social gathering look around the room and see how many people are playing on their phone instead of talking to the people that is in the same room as them it's unbelievable.

My philosophy is: if you haven't got anything nice to say, don't say anything at all!
It's that easy!

Morning Rose is definitely not similar to Mystical imo, maybe if you pair it with half red lipliner it could be.

Mystical, Morning Rose, Captive and Private Party.

My daughter is 15 and is not allowed to have an email (other than a highly filtered one that lets me sign up up to six people she can get mail from with my approval) and she is not allowed on FB either. When she was in a pageant last year that was supposed to be friendly and encouraging, the leaders were mean to her b/c she didn't have FB or a smart phone.

She is happy w/o those things, but is sad that so many her age can not relate to others without a screen in front of their faces.

I didn't allow my son to have internet until he was out on his own after he was 17, To this day everyone who has had to interview him or work with him on jobs says that they can not believe how well he talks to people.

I didn't prevent them from being involved b/c I was being mean, I knew what was out there and wanted them to learn to get along in life WITHOUT it first. They are both thankful.
