I picked up Flamingo today with B2M. I wish I had stayed off this board, because if I had gone into the store "blind," I would've realized that Flamingo is not for me, and would've passed. But, thanks to this lovely thread, I got Flamingo and Party Parrot. Flamingo is way too similar to both Jazzed and Ever Hip. It's not pink enough for what I was hoping for. I'm still wondering if Fresh Salmon is what I really want, but I don't have it.
As for Party Parrot - I find Fusion Pink bright enough, so I don't think I'll be holding on to this one. It looks gorgeous in the tube, but I should listen to my head trying to reason with me
Here are my swatches. Unfortunately these are in artificial light, I have no idea when I would be able to do some pics in daylight.
Thank you for this!! I have been wanting Flamingo because of the name and the pretty pinkish color it looks like on some swatches but yeah, I think its not for me either. Anytime Ive tried any of these popular corally shades Ive been so disappointed with how they look on me, so knowing its pretty much in the same realm as Ever Hip tells me I should just avoid it.

can anyone please help me, mac online messed up my order, and lost my flamingo lipstick, and now its out of stock, its online only here in the uk, can anyone from the states do a CP for me? i would be eternally grateful, i'm really disapointed

I wonder why? There is no special packaging. I wish they would quit making up their own rules.

Well. I decided to just grab one of my new lippies this morning and go. I was running a little late. I figured, whichever one it is I would wear proudly. I ended up with Flamingo. What a gorgeous pinky-coral shade on me. I love it! This will probably be my everyday lipstick that I carry with me when I either forget to wear another one or if the one I have on that day I just don't want to wear anymore. Usually lustre finishes dry out my lips. I have had Flamingo on since 7am, it's now 9:15am and I didn't even have to reapply it yet. It's not drying and the color stay very well. WOOT WOOT for Flamingo.
The texture is amazing. It almost feels like a lip conditioner on my lips. I was lucky enough to find another Flamingo - the very last one - to join my Flamingo zoo.
