MAC and Iris Aphel Discussion

I bought all of the eye shadows from this collection when it first came out. I've only tried Silver Gull and Hozwat so far.... but I wasn't very impressed by either. They were kinda hard to work with. :\

In my experience, piggies never sell out super fast as people usually do not back them up. However, lippies and blushes usually go uber fast.

Buying MAC is a little bit like being a broker on the stock market: you need to develop a sixth sense of what will sell fast and buy it in the right moment. Alternatively - and probably the better option - try to build a good relation with your local store which will then reserve items for you. This is certainly not an option for everybody, but showing your face often at your local store - and buy most of the items there and not just go there to swatch - will give you a definite advantage as your favorite MUA will pull your products aside.

You're right, Mac-Guy. When Iris popped up on the UK site a week earlier than it should have been and Flamingo was sold out in 24h, I knew I had to (call &) order immediately. And I got Flamingo!
On the other hand, the personnel of my Mac has changed almost entirely within a few months. They don't know that I spend some thousands(!) on Mac per year, so what kind of service am I going to get??? I'm not happy to begin from zero.

They will see your purchase history when they ring you up, so you you should be all good.

i don't get this.. this is what i thought. i had recently paid for the renewal of my pro membership and i hadn't gotten the card yet. on my next purchase, they couldn't override the system to give me my discount even though they SEE it was in my last purchase. they told me i needed the receipt from my last purchase..smch! such an inconvenience!

That's strange. They should be able to tell whether your membership was still active or not. I would call the Pro Membership Service to sort it out.

I did that for Port Red, Queen's Sin, Hollywood Nights, Rocking Chick. The only one of which I wanted more but couldn't get it, was Fun 'n' Sexy. Even my "phone MAC Customer service immediately" tactic didn't work for that one!

Everything was gone by Thursday, when I dropped by Mac Pro after work. Boo!

Here it was released the 14th of January. Maybe you could call the store? I called mine like uhm 5 times haha. But it was only because they were unsure, really

We also only have one store, but at least it's a pro store and it's a small country so traveling is manageable.

Very rarely do I become obsessed with a lip product because I have always loved eye shadows and making my eyes stand out as much as possible, but... PINK PIGEON HAS CHANGED THIS FOREVER!!!!

I was playing around with it last night and swatching for my blog and once i put it on my lips... I WAS HOOKED! its so bright and pretty and I used Chromagraphic Pencil in Process Magenta and it works really well with it making lips stand out even more! I like that this matte is not drying and with the pigmentation increases staying power

Definately getting a back up of this lipstick once it hits Australia, I never back up unless I know im going to use it and with summer over here atm... i know I am going to use this by the end of the season

Its a flesh tunnel, 8mm with sparkles! I wore them on my wedding day They are so pretty.. Thankyou!!

This is totally random, but I was wandering the London Zoo yesterday and had a good laugh when I passed by the Scarlet Ibis' enclosure. It was a funny looking little bird but really was as bright and vibrant as the lipstick named after it!
