My boyfriend can't tell the difference between a blush and an eyeshadow

but he never mention anything.

Once he actually asked me if I *really* need all this stuff and I simply said 'Yes' and he was fine with it.

He knows it's my passion and he knows how much I love make up and beside that, he also loves when I put make up on (he prefers heavy make up

) so he's okay with my 2 train cases

He even bought me one when he was in America.

He also bought me my 1st MAC item - Petticoat

It sucks because I used to share my excitement with him when I'd get new products and I don't do that anymore. I try to explain to him that my collection is nothing compared to some that I've seen and that it is a hobby for me but I've given up on trying to explain it to him. I just enjoy my passion quietly now. I know...it's sad but it's alright with me when I'm taking out my new goodies!!!

sounds like he's jealous that make up is getting more of your attention

My boyfriend thinks im insane. He thinks i spend WAY too much money on makeup (which i do). In General, he doesn't like me wearing makeup. He prefers me au naturelle. But that doesnt really matter, cause i wear it anyway. If i do a natural look, he can't really tell im wearing makeup. His biggest issues are with foundation (as it covers my freckles) and lip products (cause he cant kiss me... or doesnt want to).

Whenever i kiss him and i have lipgloss on he makes a face and says "why you got the sticky lips?!?!" lol. its cute.

But he has his obsessions too... namely hockey and war craft. So if he can spend money on his junk, I can spend it on mine. Not my fault my hobby is more expensive.

My boyfriend (soon to be fiance) is supportive of my addiction. He has his video games (which we both love), guns/firearms, and his bass guitars. So he's a little bit more expensive then me. He is always kind and patient when we go together when the store opens on a launch day so I can look and buy what I want. He can be an enabler though too! Last month I was in MAC just looking around and he's like 'If you see something you like just get it"..dangerous words there lol. He has never seen my stash/huge ass collection of stuff just yet...I'm sure when he does he'll probably shit twinkies or something but he has like 6-7 bass guitars that are at least $200-300 a piece at the least so I can say we're fair and square lol.

my hubby is fantastic when it comes to my make up addiction!
smiles.gif
he always buys me mac stuff for special occasions as gifts. and each month when my orderarriveshe'll watch me play with it and comment on the colours and such.
smiles.gif
sometimes he suggests what colours to wear because he's really good at colour matching. he knows how much i enjoy my make up and it makes me so happy that he is nothing but supportive about it! he'll listen to me waffle on about new collections over dinner and come and look at swatches on teh swatch thred with me!

of course he has a computer game addiction so i am equally as supportive of that as he is my make up addiction!

Yeah, I forgot to mention that my boyfriend also has his hobbies like wind surfing, skiing, diving etc. and those are quite expensive hobbies so my make up doesn't worries him.

Last year he bought a windsurf board and it was about 1200$. Men, I could've bought bunch of make up with that.

My DH is not so supportive. Pretty much because he is sooooooo tight with $$. He likes to see me looking good. although he has some very definate opinions about what that is and they don't usually include lots of color. He's very straight-laced conservative sort of guy. Grew up with a mom and sister who don't do makeup. I never share when I've gotten new product with him. He'd berate me because he doesn't think I could possibly need any more. Which is true, but what he doesn't understand is that it makes me happy to play with the colors and textures and allows me to express my creativity. He's musical, but not artsy. Not sure how that works but the result is that he doesn't seem to get my need for the new stuff.
