MAC Après Chic Collection Discussion (December 2012)

I might be the only one but I am most excited for them since I am a sucker for lip balms AND new products!

I know i run off at the keyboard, so many of my posts are awful long and people may give up... but i had nice things to say about the balm, too!

i picked up my counters last tube of haute altitude this afternoon, ahhh i love it. i have something similar but it's too dark compared to HA and it's the perfect pink neutral on me. i swatched stereo rose and almost drooled in lust for it haha but didn't end up getting it. it was almost way too shimmery on my face :[

Has anyone checked out the snow shadow eyeliner? I'm wondering if it has decent color payoff

Wore hot chocolate yesterday with stripped-down liner and today with hip and happy, both looked good but I might have to try a mauve/purple liner.

NC50. Two products we both love I remember is Worldly Wealth and Earthshine I guess some shades are more universal than others!

i was actually just looking at some bobbi brown ones in the morning. sweet nectar and guava. those are peachy ones but they are kind of easy to wear colors. they are in my list to get now.

I have both of those & they are lovely.

I can't get over how much I adore Après Chic; it's the perfect shade on me. A warm, corally red with a great finish.

I agree! I love love love it! My favorite ls from the collection. I wanted to get BU #2 today but our Macys launched it last week instead of today so it was sold out. Blah

I got haute altitude today, and I swear its MOISTURIZING my lips. I fell asleep with it on, and woke up to lips that were way softer than before. Thinking it must have been a fluke I reapplied later, when my lips were just ok, and it happened again! my lips feel soft and smooth. What is this sorcery?!

Did some quick lip swatches of this collection plus a few from Strength.  Apres Chic Absolute Power Strong Woman Hot Chocolate (way too 90's brown for me ) Cozy Up looks way oranger in this picture because my lips were super red from all the swatches. Warm Companion Haute Altitude, my favorite of the bunch!

Are your lips pigmented or not? I have to order my AC goodies online and I'm scared Hot Chocolate will end up like this on my lips.. BTW Après Chic looks fab on you!

I believe lilinah suggested it, but I tried the mineralized balm under my lipstick today. It made my lippie (HC) go on like a dream...looked great! Never thought about wearing it under before! Thanks for the suggestion!
