It turns up pretty brown on me and Dervish is almost a perfect match with my lip color, so maybe that one would work? A lot of the Pro Longwear lip pencils run really brown too - Absolutely It makes a lot of lipsticks I have run browner (it's also very close to my lip color) and that's not the only brownish one.Dang, you guys, reading this thread keeps resurrecting my Amber Glow lemming--pleaze stop nao.
Is there a lipliner that will make my Hot Chocolate less mauve and more chocolicious (brown). My natural lip color is light, rosy pink...
Dervish is more of a pinky-mauve. Perhaps a brown liner like Cork or 80% would give you that "chocolicious" look you're going for?Probably was me - you can get an entire face of perfect no-makeup style with this collection. I love it and I'm not always a fan of that look - I guess I just never had products that totally did it for me like the ones in Apres Chic.

I don't work in a normal office, so i can usually wear whatever i want, blue violet, teal, frosted forest green, to hang out at the local café. But, for example, when i'm meeting a client, especially for the first time, i'll wear a sensible "normal" color. I want them to think i'm competent, not wacky. I consider Hot Chocolate and Double Shot to fall into that "safe" range, along with warm pinks and pinky peaches. I don't wear red, orange, or bright/hot pink in any circumstance, because i look terrible in them.I am so trying to get beyond that and have some fun with color...you know, live a little & such!!! I'm working on it!
All of the nail polish fumes made us a bit loopy and haul happy.YEP, I'm
I'm just going to put this out there. NYX has brown lip pencils called Chocolate, Cocoa, and Hot Cocoa.Dervish is more of a pinky-mauve. Perhaps a brown liner like Cork or 80% would give you that "chocolicious" look you're going for?
The thing is…..if HC looks brown on my lips with no liner, and my lips are the same color as Dervish, it seems like if you'd use Dervish, you'd wind up with the same color.Dervish is more of a pinky-mauve. I just googled it. That is pretty.Don't forget about your nails PrettyGirlDoc. Butter London's 'TOFF' nail polish is gorgeous with Hot Chocolate. BTW, that too is a recommendation from CC!
do you or anyone have any tips for a no makeup look. I've been to tired to bother with makeup and want to go back to just concealer and powder. Do you have any suggestions on a powder? Or even a TM, BB and powder. Just something to even out the skin, cover dark circles and go.Probably was me - you can get an entire face of perfect no-makeup style with this collection. My favorite powder is Careblend. It's the only one that doesn't feel heavy and coating on my dry skin and it's got a radiant finish without being showy-glowy. It evens out my skin without looking like I'm wearing powder. It doesn't crease up if I apply it under the eyes, either. The Careblend bronzer from a couple years ago was amazing too - I really hope MAC does something about bringing those back and just generally keeping Careblend's profile high. Discontinuing the MCLPs has gotten me all worried about Careblend now.do you or anyone have any tips for a no makeup look. Just us going bananas over nail polish.so I have been missing something in that thread?
I'm going to get careblend. Where are you putting AG? On your cheeks? My favorite powder is Careblend. I'm not much of a concealer person, but I am very happy with the Mineralize one. It's the only one moist enough to not crease or bunch up under my eyes and it does a good job of concealing everything I need (although I don't mind a few freckles, I do have a couple of age spots near my eyes I like to erase). The other good thing about it is it has caffeine in it, so it depuffs me. Combining it with P&P Vibrancy Eye gives serious depuff-o-rama.
I do think Amber Glow is a particularly great blush for the no makeup look for me - wearing it, I really don't need to bother with a full face of powder. Just a little of it takes my face to the next level. I've never backed up a blush in my life, but I'm actually considering it for AG and maybe Alpine Bronze. If you took away all my other blushes and left me AG, I'd be ok with it.
See, you lost me when you said highlight and contour. LOL!!! I tried the SB BB cream. I'll have to try it again.for my no makeup makeup look i do smashbox BB cream, mac prolong wear concealer, set w/either mac msf or ben nye banana, mascara (maybe one shadow depending on how bad im rushing), blush n lippie and IN THAT ORDER!! oh wayment...i'll lightly fill in my browz (cuz mine are pretty naked) or i'll do anastasia brow gel n voila!! if i have an extra 2 min i'll also highlight n contour but i try to keep it simple as possible!! its tough for me to NOT contour though
see now im gonna need to re-create my no makeup makup looks!!
Just on the cheeks, but my cheeks are really what need the most color balancing, due to freckles and uneveness. I wouldn't want to wear it anywhere else - it's not really like an MSF or highlighter on me, just a super subtle blush that enhances rather than gives a lot of color.I'm going to get careblend. Where are you putting AG? On your cheeks?
