I really need both new blushes. I was putting on a MB today and realised I like minralize blushes/cheek products much more on my skin than regular powder products. I feel like they look more natural.

Are the liners permanent? I thought I read somewhere that they were but now I can't find it. Hope so, I want all of them.
According to the blog I've found the color story info on, yes, they should be perm.

Well, i think y'all can have my Stereo Rose. I think i don't need anything quite that orange. I have NARS Lustre which is sort of golden apricot when blended out, which i like. From swatches i've seen SR, however, looks more coral, orange-y-er. And as i've mentioned in other Specktra forums, other than on my eyelids, i don't wear orange makeup.

Kinda OT: i didn't see a forum just for MAC brushes.

A couple years ago i misplaced my favorite eye liner brush - it may turn up someday, but i'm not holding my breath - i got it in Japan in 1972 and i still mourn its loss. I used that brush with cake eyeliner - pretty much the only kind of eyeliner i used until i lost it.

I like VERY FINE eye liner brushes - as i've said, i tend to tight lining - i don't have enough visible eyelid for broader or smudgier lining.

For a truly fine line, some issues are the diameter of the brush head, the number of hairs in it, and the firmness of the bristles. I bought an inexpensive, fine bent eyeliner brush, white synthetic bristles - and i'm not really happy with it. It's just a bit too stiff, and i think the fibers are perhaps a tad too short. I've been using it with gel/cream liners. I suspect a natural fiber brush would work better. Also, i really do NOT like bent brushes - they REDUCE my control over what i'm doing on my own eyes - maybe they're good for professionals doing someone else's eyes...

Does MAC -- or anyone else -- make a really good brush for fine tight-lining? I've looked at MAC's eye liner brushes on-line and peered at them in the store, but the SAs in my local MAC seem unfamiliar with the finer ones, as they prefer broader lines, so they are unable to give me suggestions i feel confident in. I know i can buy MAC brushes and return them, but i don't feel completely good about that, although i may have to.

Hoping for some pointers. Thanks.

I just did a quick search and someone on sephora said that this studio gear one is good with cake eyeliner: http://studiogearcosmetics.com/store/products/29-sable-eyeliner-brush/. It says that in their description as well but I haven't had any experience with this brand. I think you might be able to use those angled ones too, but they tend to be less firm, IMO.

I don't know if it's my monitor or what, but Stereo Rose doesn't look half as orange in real life as it looks in T's pictures...

It appear much more orange on my monitor than irl too.

Luster looks orangey-copper on me when I'm not tanned, while Stereo is lighter, more pink toned and much more glowy. And it's buttery smooth compared to Luster.

These are the swatches I did 2 years ago comparing the new (2010) release and the old release. The new one is on top, the old one on the bottom. I really don't think it's orange at all.

My list so far, depending on swatches:

Apres Chic l/s: pinky brick red
Hot Chocolate l/s: mid tone plum
Pure & Tender l/b: plumy creamy nude
Slightly Nude l/b: nudey coral
Rosy Romance l/b: Bluish plum
Fireside mes: Deep plum w/grey veining
Winter Pursuit mes: Copper w/grey veining
Night Trail e/l: Deep navy blue
Stereo Rose MSF

So are the lip balms in tubes of pots?

I wonder if Hot Chocolate l/s: mid tone plum will be a brownish plum because of the name "chocolate"...???

I`m afraid that it will look similar (->strange) on me as Glamourdaze does

I'm very curious also about this color. I'm hoping for a mid tone purpley plum without any brown or red in it. Knowing MAC anything is possible. We will just have to be patient until we see swatches.

You'd think if it was very brown, it would be part of the color description? That name does make it sound like it could be brown, though. Oh well, not too much longer to wait at least - I'm definitely excited for this collection!

Exactly....that is why I think it could be more a brownish lippie

"Hot Chocolate" sounds definitely brown to me and not plum!
Tubes! I'm so glad about that. I can't wait for these, since I'm just out of my usual Clarins balm and my other ones aren't moisturizing enough or are a little too on the bright or super shiny side. I hope these are as moisturizing as Clarins, because the colors all sound so great, it's looking like I'm going to have a lot of balm on my hands.....
