I follow her b/c we have similar coloring and she seems to swatch really heavily. I suspect she's trying to make it show up on her darker skin. (Hopefully no "dusky" issues.) They kind of look wet to me, too. She posts a $hitload of products though which is nice. She's a good resource.it tends to look different on me in different lighting. sometimes mauve, sometimes more brown. but a kinda grey-brown, which kinda differentiates it from the 90's lipsticks i had...
thanks for the link! i guess she must have swatched those blushes and mes wet to get the swatches so dense? the blushes look much different when blended out.
Hii..just wanted to let you know - the swatches aren't really wet, but I use makeup wipes to clean up between swatches and that does add some degree of moisture And thanks for the link..and MissTT for checking on my blogI follow her b/c we have similar coloring and she seems to swatch really heavily. They're not all equally sparkly, especially when on the eyes. None of them have glitter like the PPs, the sparkle is what I'd call a dense micro-sparkle. They're most similar to Shimmermint from Glitter & Ice, but Shimmermint was more frosty and powdery than these new ones, which apply much more smoothly, especially when wet.If all the MES are glittery, then I'll have to skip. Money saved.
Looks beautiful on you- definitely YOUR color!!
Wasn't sheer on me - completely covered my red lips. It's worth it to test if you like pale apricot lipstick….the glimmer in it is really lovely.

Ice is the most sparkly with the micro-sparkle really obvious, that one I'd call micro-glitter almost. Frost at Midnight comes next, but it's not as obvious due to the color. Also when applied wet, it becomes very smooth, almost metallic. Silver Birch is third and is extremely smooth and light reflectively metallic when applied wet. Winter Pursuit I didn't find to look sparkly when applied dry, it was shimmery in the pan and less shimmery on the eye, especially dry. Fireside had a duochrome effect with low shimmer, dry or wet. None of these were matte, of course, but none were powdery with fallout either. Like the blushes, they looked MUCH more sparkly in a hand swatch, then when applied, the sparkle in most cases was absorbed into the skin and just left shimmer and sheen.
I think it's one of the best MES formulas to come down the pike. The Naturally ones were less creamy and more powdery than these and didn't work as well wet as some of these do. They're not for people who prefer matte or satin or even veluxe pearl finishes, though.
Hi there. No idea how you manage to post reviews with good pictures nearly EVERY day. Cheers to you for your dedication!Hii..just wanted to let you know - the swatches aren't really wet, but I use makeup wipes to clean up between swatches and that does add some degree of moisture And thanks for the link..and MissTT for checking on my blog
Oh, I recovered allright! Hot Chocolate will be my first brown(ish) lippie in ages.Ah! I remember that. It was not for me. I saw quite a few bimbos celebrities on TV with that look. Glad to hear you've recovered
I also saw a lot of red lipstick with black liner. But i used to hang out in Goth clubs in the 90s - i wore black or MAC Cyber lipstick. My Goth friends were nearly all professionals, most in their 30s and 40s. There was one woman who looked like she was in her late 70s - she wore old worn out faded ivory and white gowns with diaphanous bits of chiffon and taffeta and tulle - like a sweet and kindly Miss Havisham - she was a vendor of Goth-y accessories.
:blushhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh: Thank youuuuuuuuuuuu..I am going to be grinning for the rest of the dayHi there. No idea how you manage to post reviews with good pictures nearly EVERY day. Cheers to you for your dedication!
AC has. S isn't supposed to until Feb, unfortunately.
They've hiked the prices though.
Lipsticks were £14. They're £16.50 with this collection - I'm really hoping this is an error because I can't afford this kind of price hike on a regular basis.
Hey Liba, I probably would've skipped slightly nude, stay warm and pure and tender. for another Nice and Simple. these all show up rather clear on my lips. I think I like Pure and Tender the best out of those three. But Nice and Simple over all of those. That white looking swatch made me scratch my head. it looked nooooothing like that on me. It just looked like the perfect pale shimmering apricot. If Cozy Up winds up looking good on you, go back and reconsider WC - it's still my favorite out of all the lipsticks.
When I get my stuff tomorrow, I will try and take a photo - my camera isn't very good, though - but I'll try!
I'm thinking about maybe skipping the nude or the coral balm and just getting a BU of N&S instead - I didn't try those two on my lips, because the others were so great I went "OK, taking them all - slap 'em on my list". Did you try those two out yet?
Wearing Hot Chocolate and Gentle today. HC is definitely kinda browny on me, but it's plummy as well. Quite flattering, I like it a lot.
I can't believe you skipped the MES.That's why I skipped all of them. Even Ice was rather glittery.
