i'm pretty late in posting this, but here's a pic of me with yung rapunxel lipstick.
i wore it all day, and did several reapplications, but found it was better to wipe the whole thing off and reapply from scratch. (maybe you don't have to do that with all lipsticks? i don't usually think to reapply till it's all gone anyway....)

gorgeous! Love your glasses.

I finally received mine today. I'll have to test it out tomorrow as I'm wearing Rocker today. Yep, Rocker is completely amazing.

Mine just arrived today courtesy of Purplerinne. I brought it in out of the cold but it was still creamy. It looks purpler (is that a word?) and darker on me than on Pinkdollface.

Paired with burgandy liner and a couple of coats, it's definitely a look I'd wear. If I wore it full jolt with purple eyeliner it would definitely be a bold look. I like it. :)

Wha? It's already cold where you are? So not fair. We've been upwards of 95 and higher during the day, it's still summer weather here and I am so beyond over summer. I am glad you got yours and like it. I have yet to try mine on yet. It's so unfair that they didn't release it internationally.

We had a crazy hot summer too, but I love that. I hate the cold. It's not normally this cold this early, but when I woke up this morning it was only 43 degrees and it's only 54 now.

Tomorrow is supposed to be about 70.

Wow! Now that the lippie has softened up, I'm even more impressed. I have no trouble at all getting this to a smoked purple/aubergine look. This doesn't pull grey on me at all. It's definitely vampy when layered on and would probably look best with a good base of F&B and nothing else (maybe a little Nico), some light shimmery shadow, Blacktrack or another very dark fluidline, mascara and nothing else. I don't have any idea where I'm going to wear this, but I'm so glad I got it. Thanks, Purplerinne!

I should probably avoid this thread since I will probably get swapper's remorse but you wonderful folks are inspiring me to bust out all of my darker, vampier lipsticks. I am about to put away all of my corals/peaches and save them for Spring, bring out the burgundy, plum, and maroon. I think I will dust off Burnin' and Media to start, followed by Rebel and Cyber. Topped of course with some Narcissus and Richly Revered. Any other autumn favorites out there inspired by this lippy? Still trying to get my paws on NARS Autumn Leaves as well...

I tried out my YR today. I really like it. Not nearly as patchy as I had expected. Maybe I got a good one. It was even and I loved that it could be sheer if I wanted. It does transfer more than a matte but what can you expect with an Amplified lol. I really like it tho. I fades really nicely too. It is way better formula wise than my Revlon Va Va Violet as it should be b/c of the price. I almost expect it to smell like grape b/c of the color. Btw, MAC that woulda been cool.

Ok so I didn't think I'd get "Yung Rapunxel" cause it was backordered. I didn't think I'd get Chanel's La provocante either.

Got Chanels a week or two ago... Just got Yung Rapunxel.

I'm kinda debating on whether to send it back or not without trying it on my lips... Cause I'm not sure if it will wash me out or if I can afford it tbh... Getting the Chanel one I was like "Ok, definitely going to barely squeeze by on Monroe lippies" ... Then when I went to cancel the MAC one, it had shipped. Thus why I'm debating... All three dark purples are different and I don't mind a dark lip... I wanted a dark purple lip for fall trend.. But I'm wondering how YR will look since it doesn't have any red undertones.

It's a lot more neutral dark purple than Odyssey and La Provocante...

Can I try it on my lips and still return it to MAC if I don't like it???

I'm NC20 , green eyes, dark brown hair.

Indoor and Outdoor light : L to R: Odyssey, Yung Rapunxel, La Provocante.

This is how the Chanel one looks on me:

If you can return it to MAC after swatching I'm sure you can return it after trying it on your lips. How would they know the difference by looking at the tube? They have to destroy it either way. Also, I'm sure most people who return makeup are returning after actually trying it on as they would wear it. You should choose the color that's most flattering for you IMHO.

Yeah... Ugh ... I knew it was a silly question.. I'm still so tired from stalking the site , and still managed not to find time to take a nap that I'm just off right now.

I'll think about it. If I didn't have the Chanel ... I'd probably keep it. I love purple, but I know I won't wear it enough to warrant having more than one .. I have had Odyssey for awhile.... But I wanted something darker and more eggplant , thus the craze over the Chanel one and this one... Although the Chanel one is pretty dry.

Ugh no sleep = asking questions I otherwise could make the decisions and answers to normally.

I'm gonna go nap, so I can make more sense lol

Well, I've decided that I love this. I bought it on a whim and didn't think it would get any real wear, but it's turned out to be my fall sleeper hit.

I thought this really looked best of WOC, but I have to say that I think it looks great on me too. This is what I wear when I'm at home or racing around on the weekend and I don't want to wear any other makeup. I put on a small amount of balm, let it work in and then layer layer layer this to a nice deep purple. No liner because I don't love how they all change the colour. I like the way it fades, too. Maybe it's the auburn hair, but this colour is surprisingly flattering. It's deep enough to be its own look when I don't have anything else on, but it doesn't wear me because it goes well with my undertones.

I'm so glad I got this - thanks, Purplerinne!
