MAC Baking Beauties Collection (April 2013)

They're OOS on the site right now. I figure the lustres should have travel buddies. I just went to my MAC store this last weekend exchanging some b2ms and picking up some essentials and palette inserts so time to save til these collections launch!

Our list is pretty much the same!

I am passing on both PM though... can't do it. Your description of them cracks me up!!!

They are SO unattractive to me, I don't think I would ever reach for them.

My shopping list has changed only a little with the photos:

Lavender Whip Lipstick - yes, please, and a BU
Devil's Food Lipstick - probably not - looks reddish and i have enough plum reds.

Glacé Mineralize Tinted Lip Balm - Creamy pale baby blue - fer sure, fer sure!
Sweet Tooth Mineralize Tinted Lip Balm - Creamy lilac - also definite
Cheery Cherry - may add this one, if the pink isn't too bright
I really like the Mineralize Balm i have and will definitely use more.

Fancy Frosting Pro Longwear Paint Pot - Frosted white - may add this one
Mooncake Pro Longwear Paint Pot - Warm beige - maybe not - in the photo it's too warm for me
Eclair Pro Longwear Paint Pot - Light chocolate with gold pearlized pigments - probably...

Reflects Transparent Teal Glitter - i have Reflects Blue from Chenman so will skip this one.
Pink Glitter - Bright pink - it looks rather plum in the photo - IIRC, these are not for the eyes - could be an interesting touch on the lips.

In For A Treat Pearlmatte - Champagne base with matte coral flowers and mint leaves
Pink Buttercream Pearlmatte - Light silvery pink base with dark pink flowers and periwinkle leaves
I'm still in for both, even if they look like 1950s chenille bedspreads - it's how they look on my face that matters to me.

Pink Rebel Lustre Drops - Blue pink with gold pearlized pigments - i may add this one

I'm holding off buying nail polish. My nails keep doing weird things. Just when i think they've all grown out to the same length, one breaks off or a tip of another splits into layers. Grrrr. So i'm trying to figure out how to make them behave. Plus, I have essie Lapiz of Luxury, which is a nice periwinkle, and a couple mint greens and teals already.

My list was quite long, but after seeing those promos, I think I'll be able to whittle it down to 3-5 things max (fingers crossed).

I really wish they would have had some new Pigments and some pastel Paint Pots instead of the permanent items they repromoted or even an eyeshadow quad...I'd die for any eye products that are mint green, periwinkle, lavender pink, etc. But I do love the lip products and the Pearlmattes, And I'm thinking that Glace is gonna look awesome over Lavender Whip.

The brushes shown in the promo pics remind me of the SE brushes that were released with a set many years ago.
It was the holiday collection 2004 and called "Jewel" IIRC.
I had this set but did not like the quality of the brushes so I so only kept the bag.

Body/face highlight. Mix with lotion/foundation or apply straight on.

Sadly this collection won't come to us, so I am forced to save up until Extra Dimension and Temperature is Rising.
So when products will be available to you, post a lot of pics, so I could experience all these beautiful pastel shades!

Maybe it is better that we won't get this, I feel like I would be really tempted by some things, for example that bluish mineralize lip balm looks so interesting!

Can't believe I'm saying this but I'm skipping In Extra Dimension for this. I thought Baking Beauties is a collection for the cool and fair complexion because of the description of the colors but there's actually alot of nice items to pick up. And the promo pic is lovely!

I have extra dimension eyeshadows that don't get used. My EDSF Superb is yet to be opened and I've been using Whisper of Gilt since Glamourdaze all the time and I dented it but not by alot, the original shape is still intact. I certainly don't need more blush either. So more for this collection!

Finally we can see what the collection looks like. I'll be getting lavendar whip,blue lip balm and I don't know about the lustre drops. I don't know about the other lippies yet.

I feel like the non-glittery ones apply more smoothly (though I've only tried a couple of the glittery ones...was never impressed enough to purchase). I'm going to give in and buy a glittery one this time around because Eclair sounds sooooo beautiful. But some new p/ps without glitter would be lovely. And make them permanent!

This describes me as well. The only difference is I've used Whisper of Gilt about 4x. I still may, however, try an ED blush for the novelty of it.
