Don't know if this is old news but the Enchanted Verm. Eye Kit (Nordies exclusive) is available on their website now.

It's true. The $35 is just for Nordstrom though. The brush sets will remain $49.50 at all MAC stores.

yeah, i corrected myself in another thread. the reason i didn't believe it is cause this wasn't a mac thing. nordstrom fucked up and chose to do this on their own, causing alot of tension between them and mac i hear.

Interesting......I thought that maybe Nordstrom just made a pricing error and that it was not on purpose.

The counter manager when I bought them at Nord's said that Nordstrom screwed up and the MA's were really confused initially because they expected them to be $49.50 and they were ringing up $35. Then they received information that essentially the company (Nords) screwed up but they were going to continue to honor the price.

I then went to the MAC f/s (with my bag of brushes.) I live 2 hours from the store, so the MA I always try to talk to asked how I knew about the Nords deal already (thank you, specktra) as they had just received a memo from their regional manager (not sure what they are called in MAC) explaining the situation.

Their (local management) feeling is that it is unlikely that Nords will get additional shipments of the brush sets so long as they are selling them at $35. But of course that's the just the opinion of local management and not necessarily the case.

I will DIE if I buy this brush and it IS the SE and then I could have gotten the same one in the Charming Garnet kit for only $10 more and more stuff....

On the German website is the same wrong image. It must be wrong because in the store there is the regular 181 that I bought on the display.

I have both the 181 and 181SE. Both are very high quality and awesome buffers. The main difference is that the regular is softer, whereas the SE is a little coarser and more firm. They both apply cheek color great though.

This is the appropriate image for the Sonic Chic/Sheer Minerals brush. This is the regular version, the one included in the Charming Garnet Glam Kit is the SE version.

I have the SE and love it, but intend to eventually get the 181 as well, for I think they both have their uses. Sometimes, I think a firmer brush is very, very handy! I think that if money's not an issue, it could definitely be worth having both.

...but then, I'm also a brush junkie.

My MAC counter has the 5 Basic Brush Kit but I didn't get them. I guess I was just not interested in the holiday brush sets any more.
