Ok ladies, I got to swatch and play yesterday. Sorry it took me so long to review, I am too freaking busy sometimes!
Here are my thoughts, no pics because my cam is brizoke and I don't get my new one till Chanukah. That also means no fotds for the next week!
Generally, this collection was okay for me. Its small, and not relatively exciting. I must say I was unhappy with macs choices of eyeshadow formulas. Lustres and mattes suck! Frosts and velvets don't make me happy either. The lipglasses are very frosty, but the colors aren't overly unique at all. Boo to that. The liner, that is love. The end
I didn't swatch the lipglasses because they didn't excite me in the tube. Lots of frostiness, a bit of pearl, but not unique colors.
Eyeshadows:
Apres Ski- This one is a matte which inherently means its going to be hard to blend. When I swiped a finger across it felt like my beloved matte^2, but it swatched hardly at all. The color is a dark taupey grey. Wintersky- This one was my fav of the bunch. In the pot it looked a bit like expensive pink, but on my hand it was a gorgeous frosty light pink. It had a bit of a duochrome to it, but I can't recall the other color.
Mont Blanc- This is just like black tied only with gold flecks that dissapear when you swatch it. On the hand it looks just like black tied did. Did I mention I am not a fan of black tied and velvets in general?
Arctic Grey- I felt like this one had the potential to be an awesome shade of silver, which it is. The texture however gets me, as it is a satin. I do not like satins, and I didn't like how this one didn't apply with a great deal of pigmentation. Is it me or was arctic grey a lustre? I must be going nuts cause I remember it being a lustre, buts its labeled on here as a satin? :scratches head:
Vellum: Love the duochrome and the color, but I hate the finish and pigmentation on this one sadly
The glitters are both reflects- Transparent Teal and Antique Gold which are always fun but are also pro perm
Penultimate Liner- Come to Mama! Haha. This one looked just like my beloved Chanel Pen. It is basically a clicky felt tip pen and I think it is awesome. I am very excited to have a cheaper option than Chanel in a liner that I love!
