MAC Collections and changes of heart

I was mega disappointed by Naturally Eccentric. I thought I would like more from that collection,.. the rest have pretty much met my expectations of what I thought I would get,.. Thanks to all the wonderful ladies here and their collective efforts,.. I usually know exactly what I want. But I do have a draw back with Quads,.. if I don't like 3 of the 4 colors,.. I will not allow myself to buy them. I thought the Sweetiecake Quad would make that criteria but it did not.

Seeing a collection in person really changes my lemmings. I also had lots of lemmings for the Holiday 2005 collection and then after seeing it in person didn't really find the colours so exciting.

I was interested in Culturebloom until I saw swatches and passed on everything. Sundressing I was intereted in the pigments but now I want a few of the eyeshadows (relaxing, fountainble, summer neutral), Glamoursun l/g and Shell pearl beauty powder. Also I wasn't interested in the liquidlast at all until I saw swatches.... so pretty =)

I set out wanting everything from Sweetie Cake and actually changed my mind and didn't buy anything from it.
I was underwhelmed by initial reports from Sundressing and Lure but got a few things from each that I really like.

so far Lure/Bait/Hooked is doing absolutely nothing for me.....I may have to make the trip to the counter to see in person this weekend....more $$ for piggies & MSFs I suppose.

I really did not like Sundressing when it first came out and I was dying for Lure, but when I went to the counter I mainly bought Sundressing stuff

Lately it seems that with every collection I'm not very interested and think I'm safe, then I see swatches or the items in person I have to get them. That's happened with Sweetie Cake, Sundressing and now Lure.

I originally wasn't going to get Phosphorelle l/g judging from the color desc. and seeing it in the tube (didn't think I'd have much use for it/would look that great on). But I swatched it today in the store ... and pretty! So I bought one. And am contemplating a backup.

I was also going to get Sex Ray l/g. But I saw it in person. And the glitter bits looked huge! Pretty color, but I couldn't handle the glitter, so I passed.

i was terribly disappointed with Sundressing...i'd planned to get all of it, but when i saw it at the counter it just didn't do ANYTHING for me.

i was pretty stoked for Lingerie and bought damn near everything in the collection, only to return all of it except Lingerie l/s and Flirty Number e/s later hah.

i was hella stoked about Lure, and i must say that it uhm...lived up to, and even exceeded my expectations! i was so excited when i saw this stuff at the counter, i almost died.

I was very disappointed in Sundressing...the first day I saw it in person. I actually went away from the counter with NOTHING!! Then I went back the next day and bought the piggies...then when See Thru Color came out ( I bought Sapphoric, Jellicious and Goldensoft) I bought Pink Cabana and Apres Sol.

Sweetie Cake was my first collection so I went nuts and bought all three piggies and all the pencils except Nightsky ( I have a similar Nars pencil) and pink mergingue l/g. I actually don't really like the pigs now and very seldom wear the pencils.
