I love Warm Chill, it just seems old movie star Glam. The gold in it is perfect.
And, it really can be worn a multitude of ways...so pretty.

You will love the 217. I also love the 239 and am thinking of getting another one and like someone else said the 213 is great. It was also one of my very first MAC brushes and it's still in perfect condition.

I cannot believe Climate Blue and Warm Chill have sold out online in over a week!?!

I tell ya…as a collector, at heart, this freaks me out! The more I talk with my MA’s the more they tell me these LE collections get smaller and smaller every time.

I certainly understand the whole LE concept, but I never was a firm believer that something should be so limited that the majority of your fan base, may be, deprived of a part of a collection. I mean we’ve had the luxury to preshop, so to speak, collections before they go to sale. Thanks, in part, to some very indispensable individuals who are generous enough to share with us all.

But think about those folks who aren’t quite hip to forums like this, and even those who are – it may take days to weeks to make good decisions they’ll be happy with so that they’re not spending, unnecessarily, on makeup you’ll never use or feel compelled to return.

And, before you make those informed decisions it’s gone! I don’t know - I just don’t appreciate that “You snooze, you lose” attitude.
I’m sooo used to this, mentality, in the world of Fashion Doll Collecting – where things are limited to very small numbers, sometimes even as small as 50, 100, 150 pieces of something. It’s such a bummer!

I’d give anything to know, specifically, how many eye shadows were produced for “Cool Heat”.

I wouldn’t be surprised if, one day, MAC decided to print the LE number on the bottom of the pot like an art print:

1/15,000, 2/15,000, 3/15,000, 4/15,000, etc., etc., etc.

On the other hand, I won’t deny how fun it is to scout ‘n’ scoop ‘n’ score these things sometimes!

Below are a few pics of the kinds of Fashion Dolls I collect that are LE of 500 pieces from Robert Tonner!

Well, I have all of the shadows except Blue Flame, and IMO Cool Heat has the grittiest texture of all of them, grittier than the velvet texture of Climate Blue. That being said, it's not as bad IMO as Big T. For me, it was near impossible to get a non-patchy application of Big T, where Cool Heat seems to be a bit better. It is a gorgeous color

Who else is NC35 here? Do you have Plumage and how do you make it work?

ok this is what i do about with my plumage eyeshadow
to give it more of that vibrate color under i use a shimmery midtone blue, ex. fresh water and with the pencil brush go around like if your outlining it with a naval color. if you dont want to got through all of this use the HIP, i coldnt find it but is line a cream liner in a dark navy blue... that also helps
the fist time i got it i thought the same thing but now im loving it and regret not taking it back, is such a nice color

You’re slippin’ Audrey!

The real question now is what did she get in negotiations?

A lifetime supply of Dazzleglass, "Cool Heat", or Tendertones?

We're watchin you Audrey! We're watchin' everything!

Who needs to work at MAC, when you can work for MAC...out of your home…in your bunny slippers!

She probably had an exclusive MAC Artist flown in from New York for those FOTD's she's been posting too!

Full disclosure and exposure is only inevitable.

Mark my words next time we see another FOTD from Audrey it'll look, strangely, not unlike, the cover a Vogue mag - complete with backlighting and wind machine effects, and maybe, even a strange prop or two!!!

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

I actually wasn't as impressed with it as I thought I would be.
I went to Macys and bought Solar White, Warming Trend, Cool Heat eyeshadows and Gentle Simmer Lipglass. I was so looking forward to swatching Climate Blue and was very disappointed. When I first heard about the collection I was excited but I don't think it lived up to my expectations. ALSO - has anyone noticed MAC haven't posted any Cool Heat looks on the website? Why!

Fafi Quad 1 will be my all time fav collection "piece" until furthur notice :p

Well I am still crazy in love with solar white. I have boughten two so far and I am not sure that I am done. I have literally been wearing solar white all over the lid with either cool heat, warm chill, or gulf stream in the crease. I am very happy with these eye shadows. I have been getting tons of compliments as well on the colors. BTW did I tell you all that I love solar white!

It doesn't even come close to any of them colorwise or texturewise. Bang on Blue is an *almost* matte chalky cobalt blue. It would be closest to Climate Blue, but even still, it is SO much different. Climate blue has purple undertones and pink sparkles and it so much prettier.

EDIT: I bumped a photo that was posted earlier in this thread of a comparison of the 2... it is on the next page

Lilt: Don't listen to her. She works for them as an undercover agent trying to take all our money and funnel it through to MAC....
