I agree, I rarely regret a purchase myself. Probably that is because I don't buy most of the collection just for the sake of it and only get the things I absolutely like.

(In Fafi collection, that was Utterly Frivolous l/s and from Heatherette I only bought the black/torquise duo eyeliner. Nothing to regret here since I usually buy things with consideration and have thought it through.)

Cool Heat was the first LE from which i bought 4 eye shadows just because I craved for the colours. Luckily, I don't regret the purchase either, it's my fave collection this year

Heehee so far yes! Who knows what MAC has up their sleeve for us... it's only July and we haven't seen all the colour stories for 2008 yet

CH is my fav of the year so far. I find my self reaching for at least ONE of the shadows if not more for the looks i do each day. Solar White is my fav highlight color right now.

How much do you love Climate Blue?

I think it would look good with a lot of other colours. Apart from Solar White, I think it could work with darker blues, darker purples and silvers. And pink duochromes like Pink Opal pigment.
I am going to wear Climate Blue tomorrow I think - I've been away at the countryside, cutting grass and picking potatoes and playing with toddlers and there's not much need for makeup at those occasions

So tomorrow I need a little glam!

Yes, Climate Blue comes right after Cool Heat and Gulf Stream

Gorgeous color!! LOL, I love them all, also Solar White as a highlighter!
I will need some days until I tried all the new looks with Cool Heat and Electroflash.

I agree with Nursie. Solar white and warming trend are two of my favorites from Cool Heat but I love climate blue and cool heat as well. So far this is my favorite collection of the year as well!

I LOVE Cool Heat so much!! I'm happy with all of my lovely shadows and especially Cool Heat (the love of my life!) and Climate Blue. They are such gorgeous colours and they all work so well together. I also really loved Naughty Nauticals and Fafi... I'd have to say Fafi is my favorite out of the 3 because of the range of products that were released in the collection... and the packaging! I'm really happy with all of my MAC purchases this year and think they have been doing a great job with the collections so far.

For me I am trying to use the Fafi and Heatherette pieces more often because they've gotten shoved into the annals of the traincase, while I use MSF's and other things. I am just always about trying to figure out how to get it to work for me. I can't remember the last time I used my Heatherette lippies and I got backups of both. I pulled out Alpha Girl for the first time in a couple months. Belightful will be getting a ton of use soon. I still do use Flash-n-Dash a lot.

Cool Heat is definitely a favourite of mine though too. I love how it was so basic, it was just shadows and Slimshines, and it worked out really well. I ABUSE my Solar White and my Cool Heat, while I don't use it everyday, gets a good amount of use and it is good to have on hand. I did a simple teal eye with Chartru as a base, Cool Heat on the lid, and then Teal pigment on the crease and outer portion of the lid and it is very good. (Try it if you have all three)

I used my Cloudburst from the Heatherette trio with Solar White and Climate Blue today, looked really nice

I passed on the slimshines for now. They seemed like they could be quite easily duped by perm items.

Hahaha yeah.. it was really the packaging that did me in. Which is why I'm glad when there are collections with no special packaging, I actually look at the colors more carefully!

I'm really fascinated by how awesome Solar White is. This was the first MAC collection of the year where I had to have a majority of the collection-didn't need the slimshines or Blue Flame though. I may get Warming Trend later.

Sooo hyped up. Man....this was one of my first MAC collections to buy from, so maybe thats why I followed the hype. I think I was just a little too excited. LoL.

Im not disappointed with my fafi purchases....I just dont use most of them. I know I will use the lipsticks eventually. I just look back at all the "Fafi this, omg Fafi, Fafinette, omg the bags, the shirts" Like....it just seems so...craptacular to me now LOL. Regret Heatherette???? NEVER

Meeeeeeee EITHER. Not a single item. I use my fleshpot and sock hop and bonus beat like u wouldnt believeeeeeee. Umm and the purple eye pencil makes my eyes pop like crazy!

Back to Cool Heat (cool heat, who?) lol. Ummm solar whites awesome. Glad I bought it

And about Fafi, I think we were all a little out of our minds that season. It was all just so exciting and enticing. I have sort of alot. Both quads (gave 2 to my mom! It was so... not me), Cash Flow Paint Pot (not biggest fan), Nice Vice (still haven't used yet), Strawbaby (never use it), Fun N Sexy Lipstick (never use it, and I've used it at the counter and its dissappointingly sheer and has a chunky, uncomfortable glitter effect to it. Ew), Totally It (gorgeous but too bright for almost everything... ever!), Squeeze It (I hate it), Sugar Trance (one thing from this collection that I just LOVE), Sassed-Up and Verve-acious Iridescent Powders (Okay... soo... if I ever try to get iridescent powders again I hope someone shoots me in the back because I hate these. They are just gross. I dunno why I bought one besides the gratis one. Terrible, though I loooove the compact), and I got both Hipster and Fashion Frenzy. I love booooth of them. I do use Hipster more, but I love the pigmentation and finish of both. Definitely the highlight of the collection. So... that leaves me with loving the blushes and Sugar Trance and being on the fence to hating all the rest. At least I didn't spend TOO much money on the collection since I have employee discount and got [a small amount] stuff for gratis. Still... that's alot of stuff for a collection I didn't love. =/ -SULK-

I also REALLY hated the whole "omg fafi bags, fafi dolls, fafi bandanas". It's perfect for those that loved them. But I felt like it was this big merchandising, excessive, and crappy sell-out thing. I thought the shirts and dolls and bags available with Barbie was all super expensive looking and fitting. Very chic. But for Fafi I feel like the entire collection was half-assed and cheapened by the sticker packaging, the low (looking) quality of the dolls and bags. I was just disappointed with MAC because it could have been so much classier, the entire collection. Instead it looked like the packaging was thought up last minute, and the actual colours were designed by someone that didn't wear makeup. By that I mean everything was pretty to look at, but everything's finish was too glittery to be really wearable, alot of it was sheer or transparent which didn't work really, and the packaging was border-line if not full on tacky.
