Re: Cool Heat Discussion

I want Solar White! Though I only need one highlighter color in my life, Solar White could be the next one for me!

"if you take mood ring from heatherette, take away the vp finish (i know we all love vp, just humor me
lol.gif
), add some gold flecks, and you have warm chill!"

...When I read this...I almost squealed out loud while my students were taking a test. I bought that Heatherette specifically for Mood Ring, and while I like it, it isn't much different from Surreal on me. I also bought the Fafi quad for the green...but I don't get much color payoff with it.

I can't freakin' wait. YAY!

I'm so glad I have birthday money coming so I can get all the shadows without feeling guilty! I seriously think I will get every shadow from this collection! And then, after I order all this online, go to my MAC counter and indulge in backups and then find a store that sells OPI and Zoya and buy some blue nailpolish to complement it! How awesome would it be if MAC made nailpolishes to go along with this collection? lol

solar white is so much prettier than nylon! and so much better!

I do have a matte one(non-MAC), but I, like everyone else it seems, got over the matte thing in about five minutes.
My only concern about "Solar White" is that it will be too similar to "Magic Dust," from Barbie. That's a shadow I like, but rarely use, for some reason.

its not even close to magic dust. maybe slightly with the white-gold aspect, but the major gold duochrome--hello!!! like i said earlier, everyone needs this color.

I noticed that when I was going through all my nail polishes a couple weeks ago. It is dead on balls!

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

OPI's Bright Lights are actually what is keeping me from buying the NSF nail polishes...

I am finding it absolutely impossible to cut down my wishlist anymore. I'm on a blue/purple kick right now and by the time I get off, I could wear out Moon's Reflection and Beautiful Iris...in addition to the ones I get from this collection. GRR!!! Gentle Simmer was the only Slimshine that I liked, thankfully it is a perm one.

I always thought they did too, I think because of the taste. Wherever the taste is coming from, it's why I don't wear my Slimshines, and will be skipping these.

I have White Wheat in the Inventive Eyes quad. How excited can you really get about a highlighter shade? To read the excitement over Shore Leave, Femme-Fi and this one, and to look at my 15 pan full of them, you would guess the answer would be very, but honestly once they're on I personally don't think they look *all* that different. Someone trying to budget could do just as well using Dazzlelight as a sub for any or all of the above IMHO. I'm trying to put my highlighter buying days behind me by doing just that.

I'm hoping to finally find a lighter green and/or a blue/green that works on me in this collection!

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

I am anxious for Solar White because I use these shorts of shades as more than a highlighter often. Ususally I wear a very light color on my lid, from lashes to brow bone and then put my color in the crease. So, even though I have Shore Leave, and plan to get Femmi Fi, I still really want Solar White. The only shadows I have it the pan on are my other colors like this (Pressed Vanilla Pigment, Nylon, Ploof, and have made a significant dent in Vanilla e/s after only 1 week) so I know it will be a wise choice for me
smiles.gif
I am anxious for Warming Trend too because I don't have anything like it, and of course, my teals and blues because they are my faves!

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

See, I generally use Orb, Grain, Modest Tone, Claire de Lune...something like that on my lid, whatever in my crease, and then no matter how many other shades I have that I consider hilites I always seem to reach for either Vanilla or Blanc Type e/s if I'm going matte or Vanilla pigment or Dazzlelight e/s if I want a touch of shimmer. I just don't know why I buy alot of the things I do other than the fact that I think they're pretty! LOL

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

I use the traditional highlight shades all over, too. They're great for a neutral eye or to blend with a bright color (that's what I'm planning on doing today - a pale neutral with Bright Coral pigment). Yet another reason why I definitely want Solar White (and probably Femme-Fi, too - who are we kidding...I have no will power when it comes to MAC
lol.gif
). I really want Warming Trend, too because I'm a sucker for taupes and I'll definitely be getting Warm Chill and probably Climate Blue, too. I think I can safely pass on Gulf Stream and Cool Heat since I have Parrot and Shimmermoss (they seem pretty close)...mostly because I think I now want all 5 Slimshines!

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

My absolute definates from this collection are Solar White, Warming Trend and Warm Chill e/s along with Gentle Simmer Slimshine. Hopefully, I can walk away and be happy with those 4 things, but I am going to try and save for all the eyeshadows just in case
smiles.gif
I asked about B2M for the Slimshines at my counter, and they said no. I am going to ask the manager and do a live chat the be sure, because if I can B2M for them, I will probably get 2, and that will save me $28
