I love doing a nice smokey... so clarity for me is like a HG product for a sparkly smokey look. Can't wait to go back to Spain to rock looks I can't rock in Indiana.

I do not! Got FG, GG, DI, SR, RF, and MM... I wasnt sure about Clarity so I passed on that one.

I know what you mean... I have more fun with makeup in Vegas than in Ohio. It's much more conservative in some States. As for Clarity, I hate hearing the dreaded "HG" status on something I passed on! Haha. It makes me feel like I might have missed out on something SUPER special instead of just sort of special. Well, I did get Hocus Pocus, and that's filling the smokey eye void for now. I'll keep my eyes open for Clarity on my CCO trip later this month. Thanks for the tip!

I have to admit I used to treat her site like a beauty bible. I still go to her site for swatches, and I still read her reviews, but I take everything with a grain of salt now. I learned that what works for her might not work for me and vice versa. For example, I remember she gave NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils an A rating, so I bought a LOT of them, but I ended up hating them because they crease on me like crazy. I thought well maybe she has normal non-oily lids so they didn't crease on her. But like PixieDancer, I skipped a lot of Semi Precious MES because of her reviews... after that I stopped paying attention to her grading system.

Glad to see I'm not the only one!

I do wonder if Seasoned Plum is like a more opaque version of Playtime. That would be awesome.

I guess the frustration with her system for the most loyal and fervent MAC-heads is the worry that if she pans some great product or color, no one will buy it and then it'll never be re-promoted or made perm. She's very influential, but as this thread's showing, plenty of people by now are starting to see how her standards don't always match up with the type of new products that are out there. I'm sure it will all even out on its own, particularly with MAC cracking down on random, viral, out of control internet publicity/hype.

Ohio is boring with makeup, isn't it? I much prefer going out of town so I can do some more "artsy" looks. I can get away with little things like a bright lip, but not much besides that sometimes :(

Seriously. I'm from Ohio, but I live in Miami now. When I went home to visit my Dad for Thanksgiving a few years ago, I got all these weird looks! I was dressed and made up like a Miami girl, but I stuck out so bad in rural Mansfield, OH.

I know! legit the most I see people wear is black/brown liner and mascara, piled on foundation and there you go! a "daring" look would be to put on a nude eyeshadow but that's REAL intense

Thanks for the link.

I think Nebula is off my list, looks too dark for me. So my list right now is: both Ombres (already preordered those), and probably Aurora pigment and Hyperion n/p.

Do I also need a BU of Azalea Blossom? MAC-Guy?

I don't know if I like Nebula... I was expeting a different color... but I don't have a shade like this... but it's dark and me+dark colors=disaster XD ... I like both blushes and nothing more from what we see (I know, Karen swatches really lightly).. Approaching Storm looks like Prince Noir at My eyes (on my lips every color turns redder and darker) and Red Dwark could be similar to Perpetual flame...
Decisions.. decisions... well preliminary list:

Azalea Blossom or Vintage Grape or both XD
Aurora
Nebula (maybe)

Any suggestions? :p
