I certainly don't mean to be a downer here but I think it's unfair to judge what some eBayers charge for their items. It's called "Supply and Demand" and they have the right to charge what they believe someone will be willing to pay. Just because you think it's too high, does not make it so. Just trying to be fair. They can sell them for $100 each if they want -- someone will buy them. It's unfortunate the not everyone can afford those prices but then again, I know plenty of people who can't afford all of the MAC we all buy, period. I hear constantly "You pay WHAT for your make-up?!?" So, just sayin'.

=( I still can't get through. I'm so upset. I also dropped the remaining crumbs on my Pearl Blossom all over the floor. ;____;

Edit: I got through. She-Gold is gone.............................................. .........................................

Like, I dunno. I'm angry, but I guess thinking about it, it's just makeup. But being a silly materialistic American like I am, I'm just really angry. I have been calling for almost an hour, and was only able to get the pallette. I should have been able to like, preorder it or something since I called at 10:45. UGHH. I just really wanted She-Gold.

When I called the SF store, he said they got about 6 pieces of each item, and that they'd be sold out after the first 5 minutes! That's why no phone orders for them. Also, the CS person for the pro site said there was to be no restock. Damn, I wish I was able to get fashion and too fab!

Thank you! I got through, and it was the same guy that told me to call back at 11. =/ It felt awkward. I really wanted She-Gold, but I guess it wasn't meant to be.

And then he just called me back, and I looked at the number and it was all "MAC SOHO" and I was like OMG THEY MUST HAVE FOUND A SHE-GOLD OSHGSljhsfdjagkfg, but he just had to tell me I couldn't get my employee discount on it, which was fine. =/ Aughh, why do these collections have to be so limited. And I've been calling so long that I don't have time to do any nice makeup for school. -Sigh-

So if anyone has a backup of She-Gold they decide to not want and don't want to charge too much, then please PM me! ^__^

Re: Dress Camp discussion

You would think that MAC wouldn't be stupid enough not to restock seeing the demand for this- they'd be making more money! Wait, we don't want to make more money, so we'll just make a few then that's it. Whatever.
I've been getting crabby with my MAC lately- can you tell? MUFE is looking a little more appealing...... *sigh*

Well said....There isn't anyone who wouldn't sell something they owned for whatever the market would bear.....Whether it's makeup, Corvettes, Beanie Babies, or anything else that's all the rage ATM.

Remember the $1 - $5 Beanie Babies being sold for $50 - $100 on eBay a few years back? So goes makeup......

But for me, I ordered the whole collection the minute I saw on Specktra you could click and choose the collection before it was fully loaded on the site. GAWD! I love Specktra! I will receive my order tomorrow

I guess, when you put it that way, I kinda have to agree with you. Supply/Demand, is true in a lot circumstances. I know I pay a lot for stuff, I REALLY want.

Evidently the seller is shipping from Singapore, I guess that's why shipping is so high, but geez! They didn't have to charge so much for their items! Its insane!!

I just bought everything today!

I'm from Singapore too and I'm really not trying to stand up for that greedy seller (I find that price to be absurd as well) but Singaporeans actually have to pay a lot more than what u guys have to pay in the US (u're all so lucky!!! jealous!). Judging by the current exchange rate, the palette is about US$55.38 in Singapore. And we pay US$29.23 for the Reflect Glitter as compared to how much u guys have to pay... its almost reason enough for me to move to US! So to earn a little profit, the price has to be crazy as well. The one that is earning the most is MAC afterall... LOL

I don't understand how come the Fafi and Dresscamp palettes are both US$36 but when they are retailed in Singapore, Fafi was S$59 but now Dresscamp is S$72... like wtf? Why is MAC is expensive everywhere else?

Oh god, me too. In fact, I have "eBay Alerts" on my cell phone, right? I was sitting at home watching ANTM last night when I heard the special little tone telling me an auction was ending and I swear I cringed and thought "Oh, crap! What did I put as my high bid??? Please don't let me win! Please don't let me win!"

I won, BTW, and I'm happy but good grief. I also have to buy paint for an entire house so......

U're so cute! I know how that feels like... the maybe-i-shouldnt-have-done-that feeling and then trying to overcome it with the oh-well-at-least-i-love-mac! I always feel that way after I splurge on MAC and this is one of those times... Specktra is making me feel better about getting the whole collection even though none of the items suit me... LOL!

But people who buy it JUST to resell it for 2-3x the amount it's worth? That's WRONG in my opinion! I understand everyone is just "tryin' to make a buck" or it's "the American way" or whatever. But it sucks for those of us who really want this item, CAN afford it at retail but CAN'T get it because people are greedy. Just my opinion, take it for what it's worth...

...can you tell I'm sad about being at work and missing out on this collection?

~Sorry I don't know if this has been mentioned already but for those of you in London (may be applicable to other Brits) I was told by a MAC ma today that Dress Camp is Harvey Nichols exclusive. It won't be in freestanding stores or Selfridges.

Oh no it'll be too expensive because MAC prices are crazy in Singapore... add in shipping and everything else, I'd say u are better off without it really...

I'd really really REALLY love to do CP for a lot of u because I know what its like to miss out on something u really want... I felt like dying when I didn't get Real Doll during Barbie. But prices are so high here, I won't be amazed if u guys can get it cheaper on ebay if the seller is from US or Canada.
