MAC Early Buzz - News for Upcoming Collections in 2014

hey everyone :)
just wondering if anyone could help me
I'm in the US for the whole month of June and wan't to experience the thrill of a new collection release LOL

when collections come out do they tend to sell out instantly or do you have some time to play with.
I get that its general but just looking for general info

Wonderful! That's a lovely amount of time to see things.

For releases, it depends on the hype and the amount of stock in stores. Some releases are very quiet--like the CC Creams or the Huggables. For big releases with lots of never-before-released items, some lipsticks/items can go out of stock on the first morning, and usually a few other items over the first weekend.

Riri-type stuff is pretty close to impossible and I'd probably find other ways to spend your time. This is just my experience in my area.

usually the lippies sell out fast if they are pinks or reds or purples IF you really want a lippy, you must prebuy, stalk or be willing to deal with a sell out and pay inflated price on ebay
the mineralize stuff does not sell out too fast, esp. MES, MB but sometimes the MSF powders sell out fast
blushes, it depends if special packaging or not, they tend to sell out after the lipsticks
gloss and e/s sell slower
bronzers hang around for a while

this is the trends I have noticed

Thanks everyone Patent, I think your right I'm not going to spend all my time stalking :) I emailed the ny pro store yesterday to see if I can do a class of some sort... Can't wait :)

This is true. I remember last summer I ordered some stuff from the UK, and the only thing left from the Temperature Rising Collection was a bronzer (this was at least a month after the release). But that was all right because the bronzer (BU) was the only thing I wanted to order from that collection (I did my TT haul earlier).

Have any of you MAC insiders heard anything about Whisper of Gilt making an appearance in any of the collections this year? I foolishly sold mine & now I regret it. :(

This gives me hope for a Marina & the Diamonds colab one day! :cheer: I would go craaazzzyy over it lol. It's funny though, I am listening to Lorde's album right now :p
