I'm a contrarian. I'm not that into the big summer special packaging collections, although I do love Marine Life and My Paradise. I'm also not much for blue and white striped nautical style, hehe.
That doesn't mean I'm not going to get anything from Hey Sailor, though.I'll probably be buying way more from the summer Mineralize collection!![]()
Reel Sexy will be my huge splurge.
With all the beautiful blushes out this year so far, between the Naturally MBs and the insane beauty of Tres Cheek, I don't even know how MAC is going to top it with something for Hey Sailor.Marine Life especially!
Does anyone know if Hey Sailor will have a gorgeous blush like Marine Life and My Paradise? I really cannot wait for any info!![]()
I also heard those rumours. I don't know exactly what is going on, but they are no longer on PETA's don't test list. It's weird because mac has been sold in china for years hasn't it? Did china change its laws or something? I thought they were taken of the list because of Estee Lauder, but that they aren't actually testing themselfs.Really hope this comment is not deleted!

Check out vampy varnish's write up... I emailed them if I hear back I will be sure to let you guys knowI also heard those rumours. I just checked it out and i think i feel the same as her. I don't think i can give up on mac that easily. Almost all my make up is from mac like 99%. We do not have that much make up brands here that are from good quality and have a big variety of colours. Most drugstore brands test on animals, the cheaper ones don't, but their quality lacks. I'm left with high end and now most of them test on animals or are in the unknown area. I might buy less mac now and try to get more inglot and urban decay. I don't know.. i feel so let down by mac. I'm a vegetarian and i love animals so i don't wanna support animal testing.I emailed them if I hear back I will be sure to let you guys know
mac is just breaking into china because of this has been sold in other asian markets that do not require testing on animals. if it law they have to abide by it. but there are a few groups that are in the works to help stop the testing on animals. its is not something mac promotes they still have the cruelty free mind set but since its law they dont have a choice if they want to branch out there. mac is only sold in 36 countries world wind and only has 13,000 employees company wide. to breaking into china would really launch the company to a higher front by 1 adding jobs 2 adding another country 3 maybe developing more and better products for the future
This is no way a personal attack at you but I don't give a crap about any of those reasons quite frankly, they supposedly got this far without china so why support a country that supports animal testing...... Bad bad move! If Mac did have a cruelty Fred mind set the wouldn't do it. You let us down Mac!mac is just breaking into china because of this has been sold in other asian markets that do not require testing on animals. if it law they have to abide by it. but there are a few groups that are in the works to help stop the testing on animals. its is not something mac promotes they still have the cruelty free mind set but since its law they dont have a choice if they want to branch out there. mac is only sold in 36 countries world wind and only has 13,000 employees company wide. to breaking into china would really launch the company to a higher front by 1 adding jobs 2 adding another country 3 maybe developing more and better products for the future
I agree 100% with you and vv. I won't stop buying mac(which makes me disgusted in myself), but of there is an alternative (ie: l/m e/s, nars blush I'm going that way)!!!!! If there sales drop they will have to pull out... They really screwed us on this one! Great workI can understand that, but if they really and i mean really are against animal cruelty they shouldn't branch out there. Still i remember when i was in china i did see a store and it has only been a couple of months that mac isn't on peta's list anymore. I went to china summer 2010.
I guess the only way then is not to buy MAC anymore, though I don't see this happen (in general - I do not mean you personally).I just checked it out and i think i feel the same as her. I'm afraid you're right. I guess i could start buying less and maybe in the end i can stop. It might be easier that way.I guess the only way then is not to buy MAC anymore, though I don't see this happen (in general - I do not mean you personally).
Isn't nars part of a company that tests as well?Great work

A friend sent me an email a while back that had a list of all the companies that test on animals, nars wasn't listed (or any affiliation of there's) I wrote a blog post on the subject..... If it is since confirmed. That they are testing then I guess I'll start making my own makeup!!! Seriously tho, I'm really pissed they put us in this situation!!! I can't promise I won't buy any but damn I'll try my hardest to swap where possible!Isn't nars part of a company that tests as well?
Isn't Nars owned by shiseido? I don't think nars tests on animals, but shiseido does. So it depends on how you feel about that.I can't promise I won't buy any but damn I'll try my hardest to swap where possible!
