The brow collection is actually quite interesting. There are standard pencils, but with some new colors, including a grey color designed for brunettes that sounds so totally awesome, i am in love. Then there are brow powder duos that are going to be perm, using many popular mac shades (nothing new, but it's nice to see a pairing in these). I'm forgetting a little here, but either the pencil or the duos are double sided with a nifty brush you can use to brush your brows into shape as part of the packaging. He was liking the design on those. Finally, this is the collection where the brow fluidlines come out and again, there are some colors that sound particularly rich and lovely, especially for brunettes and redheads - there's an auburn one and a rich deep charcoal-ish color for the brunettes (sorry, there are lighter colors as well, but I didn't parse them so closely being a brunette-ish lady myself). They'll also have tweezers and different brushes but i don't think any are new. It's a nice idea. I'm sad the brow fluidlines are LE, but here's hoping they come back - these will be especially fabulous for thicker more natural brows, considering the colors struck me as being a little off the beaten path and more suitable as the sort of shade that co-mingles with your natural color to add richness and dynamic undertones - like how I love to use Dark Diversion and Midnight Snack on my brows, but lightly applied through the center of the brow so you can only get subtle hints of the color but an overall look of very rich deep color. I'm excited for these!! Oh also, that foundation refresh collection will include THE CONCEALER PALETTES!!! So get your motors running for those - you'll be able to do so much with these. There are a few of them, basically all light shades, mediums and darks. I think there's a new brush here too, but we were kind of out of it, considering everything else. OH, 2 new MASCARAS - one that has a very big but defined brush for extra thickness and density and a waterproof False Lashes, which I've still yet to try - I sampled it, but with a standard brush and it wasn't my speed, but False Lashes is one where the brush it comes with makes the difference. It definitely had a creamy texture that a waterproof version would be a nice option to have with. These mascaras aren't releasing at the same time - i think they're about a month apart in their own individual releases. There was also some weird shenanigans with one of the collections - I want to say the Muscle one or the Lesbian Tuxedo one, where it will be an exclusive with Macy's for LITERALLY 4 HOURS, STARTING AT MIDNIGHT around thanksgiving, but then will be all available as normal a month later. What is this madness???? We were scratching our heads at that one, but if it's the Stereo Rose one, just expect the usual Buffalo Stampede of Ultimate Doom. I will wait a month, thank you! Finally I saw all the Glamourdaze sets - the packaging truly is both lovely and usefully designed. The padded boxes are quite luxurious and not cheap at all, plus the shadows look like they have better than average textures PLUS they finally figured out to put a little tiny liftable lid with a hinge over the cream products so the powder ones won't invade. Finally you can remove the whole tray with the makeup, turning the packaging into perfect little clutches or jewelry boxes. The leopard ones are plasticized satin, and do seem a little too perfectly retro - like a fine line between old lady plasticized fabric and good, not tacky coated fabric. The main thing that makes them shine is the wonderful interior design - the brush sets have one side to hold the brushes and on the otherside is a snapped down pouch that is the perfect size for a day and night's worth of products. The pink set's brushes felt a little scratchy, but the peach "Advanced" set was very soft and nice with a useful range of shapes and the green skunk set has the nicest color way for my taste, plus a brand new eye brush that's kind of fat, flat and chubby - not small or big but a perfect size in between - it caught my eye, but here's hoping they do a standard version of it, if you ask me.
I am very interested in the brow fluidline. I use Quite Natural pp on my brows now but would like more options. I am relieved I already own Sr and pp. I am exhausted from mm Thank you!The brow collection is actually quite interesting. j I need to check out my Revenge is sweet gloss to see it it is still good.Just reading this make me happy. I know I will be broke after Xmas so will have to be really selective with my purchases. I do not want any lipsticks at all so that makes it so much easier for me. Deep plum mineralized eyeshadow.... absolutely yes, a few mineralized blushes, will review prior swatches of Revenge Is Sweet lipgloss, a few eyeliners, maybe some colorful pressed pigments (need info on the spongey eye applicator ). Thanks for posting. Can't wait to see and hear more!!!
OMG I have died and gone to makeup heaven!! Thank you so much for sharing! I am way more excited for Revenge is Sweet than is healthy. I don't know if I will be prepared for the frenzy over Stereo Rose, though! Can you imagine?OK, for the week of Jan 13th, there is ALL MINERALIZE AGAIN - the highlights here are STEREO ROSE AND PORCELAIN PINK MSFS. YEPPP, get ready. Also there are 5 shadows that all sound very familiar, like we've seen these before, sprinkled through Glitter and Ice and Naturally - soft grey and lavender melanges, deep plum, etc. 4 MBs, I think one is a repromote but of one of the good ones from Felines or the like - they all sounded like soft colors, but one jumped out at me - it's a frosted deep bronze (that wasn't the exact color description, btw, but near enough). the main thing are MINERALIZED LIP BALMS. These come in a tube like the lip geles, they have the consistency of lip gele, they all have dense but refined glitter, exactly like the Marilyn dazzleglasses (so basically gorgeousness big time), and many soft but unusual sounding colors. Oh, also they have moisturizing properties that made my MA sad, because he loved them, but they're too glittery for his manliness to use them himself.
For Jan 6th, there are 2 collections and they both are doozies. The promo pictures for these are outrageous, one has a woman in a rubber ball gown with freaking enormous body builder arms and upper body, doing the classic muscle man pose. All the names are muscle related, like "Muscle Memory" hahahaha. The other one is sexy Helmut Newton style lesbians in tuxedos, so ooo la la. Now for the goods..... the lesbian one: THE RETURN OF PINK PIGEON AND PARTY PARROT. PLUS 2 new purples he was panting over, neither of them super blue-ish but both extremely intense and beautiful, one is similar to Heroine and another is lighter, grey- mauve lavender-ish. PLUS AT LAST LADIES THERE IS A BLUSH DESCRIBED AS "FROSTY LIGHT LAVENDER" -it's what that pale one from Tres Cheek should have been but wasn't quite. There's also a blush that's the color of Magenta (from Reel Sexy among other collections) but with the beautiful texture of the best Tres Cheek. There are new PRO-LONGWEAR EYE LINERS that he didn't get a chance to see in person, but there's a range of about 6 colors including green and purple. There's a quad with two different textures of navy with purple and a new black, also a second quad with lavenders, basically this is the winter version of Reel Sexy - there are nail polishes including a dark periwinkle purple that sounds sexxxxy. The body builder muscle one has a a couple of quads too, one including a new "warm" black that sounds tempting. Again, there are some vampy purple and fuchsia lipsticks and a SPARKLING BLACK LIPSTICK - this is the one we had that photo of being applied to a model's lips a while back from these past runway shows. Excuse me for forgetting the name but when I saw it, I got hot and bothered and the description makes it sound even better. Also REVENGE IS SWEET lipglass is BACK, so get in line baby!!!!!!!!! Frankly I was overwhelmed with how both of these two collections sounded - they are MY KINDA WONDERFUL!!!
ok i'll put more in another post.....
Oooh Jet! We're talking mid-late 90's here.Holy F**king S**t - Ladies & gents, my MA gave me the lowdown on what's coming up through the middle of January, including a good long look at the book and some very enticing descriptions of the things he was craziest about.
WHERE TO BEGIN, I ASK YOU????
First off, there are 2 collections for after Xmas, 2 for the week of Jan 6th and 2 for Jan 13 (it's super late and I've been working non-stop for many hours so I'm kind of fried - I may say a few things that overlap but bear with me. Besides these collections, there's the couture, which is very simple product-wise but extra gorgeous packaging wise. There's also going to be a relaunch of one of the Studio foundations, plus an all eyebrows collection with many new perm and LE brow products, a new mascara and an OBNOXIOUS Black Friday promotion that we are all going to frikken crave like hungry beasts and will only have ONE day to get
Where do I start, damnnnnnn.
Here are the highlights:
GREY FRIDAY: This is for one day only (Black Friday) online only plus the big NYC store - times square? I didn't write anything down so can't quite remember the store. They're bringing back JET!!!! This is the incredibly beautiful dark grey lipstick of long ago, with matching Jet nail polish. I'm officially burning in Makeup Hellfire and Brimstone. Do not miss this one if you have a daring bone in your body.
Ooooh!!! I didn't see that upthread. I had the biggest skipper's remorse from the IA lippies. Can't wait to get Pink Pigeon!liba, my head is spinning!I'll finally get Pink Pigeon! I got a heads up from hwdsprincess to check the thread. Everything else is beyond amazing too. I thought I would get a breather after Glamour Daze, but it looks like that's not happening. Oh well! Time to start budgeting and making preparations.

YES, there is going to be an ALL PRESSED PIGMENTS COLLECTION. I am forgetting the date, but it's either mid-Nov, mid Dec. or it's one right after Xmas - sorry about that, I'm thinking it's not one of the ones after Xmas overall. Anyhow, PRESSED PIGMENTS IN EVERY COLOR OF THE RAINBOW, including bringing back 3 of the face & body (Warming Heart, and the darkest and lightest ones). They will be $21. I think if you love sparkly, you might actually want to reconsider buying too many EDES from Glamourdaze and just get these beauties in the much larger size they come in. My MA was batshit crazy about the BLACK WITH INTENSE GOLDEN SPARKLE, but there's also bright pink, silver, champagne, lavender, and so on - the list was huge - I'd say a good 15 colors, plus various odds and ends like brushes (not LE I don't think), perm liner, etc. Don't fear these pigments - try applying them with the new weirdo spongey eye applicators. It's a match made in heaven. I wore the dark one today, yesterday, a couple days before, and on and on - I am totally in love with them, even more than EDES (other than my beloved Dark Dare, that is). No beetle wing green, I don't think, sad to say - but then again that list was so huge and I've been running on mental fumes the past few days, so please excuse the vagueness.
m silveAlso, in the Couture Collection, there will be mystery powders in 3 shades, a packaging of that perry highlighting powder (oh god forgetting the name) and RUNAWAY RED plus a new soft pink liptick ANDDDDDDD a very very beautiful bag with a brush he was telling me is an old one of yore that is amazing - a thick, soft, dense almost paw shape with a flat top - Mac Guy help me out here...... Anyhow, the packaging is very very classy and retro soft pink fabric with golden bows in these beautiful very retro styling, sort of a cross between the 20's, the 40's and the early 60's. What your very rich and classy old aunt wore in her Park Avenue penthouse all the way into her 80's. I thought it looked beautiful and I don't always go in for these things. Even the lipsticks are fabric covered, mes amis!!!!!!
I'll continue in another post.....
